Our 2026 Season is done, and it is time to celebrate with all the people who make the Alfred Farmers Market the best market in Allegany County! Join us for a potluck meal this Sunday, October 18, from noon until 2:00 (or later!), at the Alfred Village Hall. Bring a dish to share. Let's pause after this long summer season to enjoy our splendid community!

Join us on Sunday for our last outdoor market of 2026 - The Harvest Festival - a celebration of the end of the growing season and autumn. There will be great music, tasty food, and the best farmers and artisans in Western New York. For the young ones (and ones who are young-at-heart), the AFM is sponsoring our yearly Pumpkin Painting activity. We've secured a bunch of pumpkins, but once they are gone, they are truly gone. Make sure you get to the market early!

We thank our customers who support our market each year, Alfred University which allows us to set up on campus, and all the local businesses and community organizations that make Alfred such a grand place to live and shop. We'll see you all back at the Bandstand next June!

Our vendor spotlight falls on Lex, the creative artist behind "HallowedHallways." They have been a part of the AFM for several years now, selling original paintings, prints and stickers. Stop at their tent this Sunday and get to know this vendor!

One of the AFM's favorites is back this Sunday: Garegin Grigoryan will be playing on the Brick Lawn from 11:00 until 2:00.

This is the last outdoor market of the 2026 Season, and we are celebrating the end-of-year harvest. Make sure that you bring your kids out to paint pumpkins, sponsored by the AFM. And stock up on farm fresh foods and creative artisan goods.

An AFM favorite, The Ukuladies are on the Brick lawn tomorrow from 11:00 until 2:00! As a reminder to all of our customers, the Alfred Farmers Market is setting up on the lawn in front of The Brick, just further up Saxon Drive from the bandstand.

The Ukuladies are a local band covering an eclectic array of songs from 60s folk to today's indie and everything in between. The duo formed in 2019 after two best friends teaching in neighboring classrooms, Amy Powers and Jami Snyder, both received ukuleles for Christmas. They've been strumming along with their homemade harmonies ever since.

Our spotlight falls on our fabulous baker and Viking queen, Ren Finnemore.

When Ren Finnemore was a little girl, she dreamed of having her own bakery. And of being an astronaut. While her adult life took her in many other directions, Ren never lost the dream of baking (or of adventure). She fell in love with Scandinavian foods while researching trading during the Viking age as a living history reenactor. During the early months of Covid, Ren took stock of her life, remembered that dream from her childhood...and ScandinaviRen's was born: a baking business specializing in traditional Scandinavian desserts and handicrafts. Ren takes pride in using organic, quality ingredients and sharing both the desserts and the unique stories that each traditional baked good has. She also offers a variety of gluten-free and vegan options, as her motto is "everyone should have cake.”

High Pines at the Alfred Farmers Market! We are so happy to welcome this Hornell-based band for our very first Phish Fest, this Sunday, September 27.

So, what can we expect in their 2-hour performance? We pirated this straight from their website:

"JAM-FUNK FOR THE JUNK IN YOUR TRUNK

That’s the unapologetic calling card of High Pines, a band dedicated to bringing pure energy and groove to every stage they touch. With a high-octane blend of funk, rock, and neo-psychedelic exploration, no two shows are ever the same. Their sound is a union of smooth grooves designed to make the bodies move, fusing jazz appreciation with rock spirit and layering it all with enchanting vocal harmonies."

Come to the market, shop, eat, and dance on this first autumn Sunday!
