From Arcadia Executive Director Pam Hess:
Friends: I spent last weekend at my father’s memorial. Surrounded by so many people who loved him, I was reminded that when everything else falls away, what remains is how we helped the people around us -- whether we eased a burden, offered them dignity, or brought a little light into their day. That's what he did for 88 years, as the crowd at his celebration of life testified to.
And that is the work we do together at Arcadia. Every bag of produce, every lesson in the field, every carrot or beet harvested by a wide-eyed child at the farm, every market visit to a neighborhood that’s been overlooked: these are the acts of care that define us and will outlast us.
On this Giving Tuesday, I invite you to join me in honoring what truly endures: the small, meaningful ways we make life more nourishing, more connected, more just for one another.

Thank you for making Arcadia possible.
With gratitude.
