On June 19, 1865, freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in Galveston, TX—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Juneteenth is a day of reflection, joy, and resolve. We honor the ancestors who endured the unimaginable, the activists who marched, and the leaders who continue to fight for a more just and equitable society for ALL of us.

Honoring this legacy means investing in the future – that looks like:
