Welcome, to Little Toot's Eggery and The Neighborhood Pantry. I'm Brandon, the Admin and "boss", lol.
Before I was ever thought of, my family, the Ehinger's, used to have a little corner store/gas station (Gulf) at the corner of Treat and Sharp, in Adrian, MI, The Neighborhood Pantry. It closed in 1968, the building itself remained until 2002 when my family tore it down. As a kid I always thought about some day reopening it. I grew up trying to help take care of the family property, mostly mowing, and still do, hence my first business venture, Red Rock Lawn Maintenance.
Now, I am a single father with a daughter of my own... thanks to my sister, and a couple neighbor's, lol, she was introduced to chickens at two years old. A couple years later, in 2024, on her 4th birthday she got chickens of her own. 6 months later they started laying and soon enough we couldn't eat as many eggs as they were laying, and Little Toot's Eggery was born as we started selling our extra eggs.
2025... we added chickens to our little flock, we decided to water glass eggs for the winter and it wasn't much of a step farther and we started a garden, growing cucumbers to make pickles; we also made our own jam, and canned tomatoes that we grew... everything keeps growing.
2026... My daughter and I are getting ready for future growth. During the "off" season... we've already increased our little flock and have been selling the extra. This coming year we'll also be selling a few other items. Eggs, pickles, beef tallow, and bacon grease... those were the offerings at her 1st "store" for Young Entrepreneurs Day at school... and so it has started.
I may be the "boss" of the operation, but I'm actually just the one who brings her little ideas to life as I teach her about things.
So, join us on our journey as a little girl and her dad try to build a business...
