My view walking down to the greenhouse to be sure it’s all tucked in bed for the night.

Tonight I was sitting on the stone wall, looking around the farm, thinking about my dad. The rhubarb is up, greenhouse in full swing, and spreader ready for its yearly lime run. I miss seeing him in the greenhouse and wandering around finding something to fix before things get busy. I miss his sense of humor. I’m proud that he was my dad. These last few years were hard on him being my mother’s caretaker. I find peace knowing that he is finally burden free.

We have been hard at work getting the greenhouse in order! Tomatoes have been transplanted. Next up, peppers! We miss Bud but he taught us well!

Bud used to love having fun. Dressing up as Jethro and Nellie Wiggins, long lost cousins from the old country was one of his favorites. The Wiggins once owed Claire $0.16. They eventually paid her back after she threatened to throw tomatoes at them.
