Astrid Johansson and Hannah Lindh Widell met through Dragon’s Den on SVT, where Hannah’s first words to Astrid were: ”YOU have to be the matcha queen!” ”BE matcha, do nothing else.”

Since 2023, WAO Matcha has been built with the support of Hannah and her sister and business partner, Amanda Schulman. From 10 orders to over 10,000 only counting website costumers, we’ve built more than just a matcha brand. We’ve educated Sweden about matcha and created a strong community around WAO.

The fun part? This is only the beginning! WAO Matcha is growing, and we are going BIG. As you can see, Astrid said, ”That’s me in one year…” and well, we’re getting closer…
