As coisas por cá correm com emoção, tempo e sorrisos. Depois da tempestade vem a bonança... temo-la visto a chegar aos poucos e não tem havido melhor sensação. ❤️

Entrámos numa nova fase d'A Casinha!
A Fase: Um ano depois.
Um ano depois de nos termos mudado definitivamente para o campo, estamos finalmente a absorver e a navegar com sabor, aos poucos, uma rotina mais tranquila, uma logística mais bem definida e este projeto de vida maravilhoso, de forma mais focada e vincada. ✨

Já o tenho dito, e repito: se soubesse o que sei hoje, não tinha esperado 40 anos para me mudar para a zona centro.

Na madrugada da passada terça-feira, o nosso paraíso passou por uma das maiores provações de sempre... 💔

Felizmente, não há feridos graves nem fatalidades. E isso é o mais importante.

Os danos materiais, mais tarde ou mais cedo, reparam-se... mas sentimos que estamos esquecidos.. (se querem perceber o que quero dizer, vejam a "entrevista" com o Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Ourém).

Tanto o Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Ourém, como o Presidente da nossa freguesia, têm sido incansáveis mas ainda há muitas pessoas sem luz, muitas pessoas sem telhados, sem ter como se alimentar e sem material para reparar os danos causados pela tempestade Kristin.

Partilho abaixo parte da mensagem do Presidente da Junta de Freguesia do Olival:

• Acesso a energia e rede (Wi-Fi):
– Teatro Municipal de Ourém e Casa do Administrador (09h00–19h00);
– Ponto Wi-Fi exterior na Rua Vale de Água nº 22, Óbidos (Arlindo Lopes Dias), para chamadas via WhatsApp e carregamento de telemóveis e powerbanks (09h00–21h00).

• Banhos / higiene pessoal:
– Piscina Municipal de Ourém (08h30–20h00);
– Lar do Centro Social do Olival, em Aldeia Nova.

• Entrega e levantamento de bens:
– Centro Municipal de Exposições (bens alimentares não perecíveis, 09h00–17h00);
– Estaleiro Municipal do Pinheiro (materiais de apoio: telhas, lonas, entre outros, 09h00–17h00);
– Junta de Freguesia do Olival — aceitam-se doações e podem também ser levantados mantimentos.

Obrigada a todos os que têm sido incansáveis, quer no apoio prático, quer no psicólogo (que não pode, nem deve ser esquecido) 🤍

Can you believe that we've already moved 6 months ago, from the city to the countryside? We neither 🥹 The most amazing thing is that we keep falling in Love with this... it's just so inspiring and wonderful that most of the times we have no words to explain it!
One thing I'm sure: The Universe always knows what it does ✨

Acreditam que já nos mudámos há 6 meses, da cidade para o campo? Nem nós 🥹 O que é mais maravilhoso é que continuamos a apaixonar-nos por tudo isto... é tão inspirador e maravilhoso que, na maior parte das vezes, nem temos palavras para explicar!
De uma coisa tenho a certeza: o Universo sabe sempre o que faz! ✨

Meet Bruno, our newest addition to life at A Casinha. We've addopted him from a beautiful Family who, unfortunetly couldn't keep him anymore! 🫂
He’s a Mini Lop rabbit — a breed known for their floppy ears, gentle temperament, and playful energy.

✨ About Bruno:
– Loves hopping around like he owns the place
– Comes close asking for cuddles (and usually gets them)
– Total foodie — never says no to snacks.
– Mischievous little guy… if there’s something to chew, he’ll find it

Fun fact: Mini Lops are social and thrive with interaction. They’re not just “cage pets” — they love being part of the family.

🇵🇹Apresento-vos o Bruno, o mais recente membro d’A Casinha. Adotámos o Bruno a uma Família maravilhosa que, infelizmente, já não o podia manter! 🫂
É um coelho Mini Lop — uma raça conhecida pelas orelhas caídas, pelo temperamento dócil e pela energia brincalhona.

✨ Sobre o Bruno:
– Adora andar aos pulos como se fosse o dono da casa
– Chega-se a nós a pedir mimos (e claro que tem sempre)
– É um comilão — nunca recusa um petisco
– Maroto como só ele… se houver algo para roer, ele encontra

Curiosidade: os Mini Lop são muito sociais e precisam de interação. Não são “animais de estimação de gaiola” — gostam mesmo é de fazer parte da família.

James was a year and a half old when we rescued him from the pound. It was an unexpected - but thoughtful and conscious - adoption. We were just going to visit the pound and understand the adoption process and suddenly we had him at home, following us everywhere we looked.

James fell in love and chose us as his owners - at first sight. And we couldn't resist him. He came to our house, suspicious, but even so, despite all the fears we realised he had over time, he showed us on the first night that he was already part of the Family.

That night, when we entered the house with the food, collar, leash, drinking fountains, toys and the like that we'd bought for him, hours after he'd left the kennel... he stood guard over Tiago - who he'd met hours before. In a mixture of nerves and laughter, we looked at each other and had confirmation: he was Family. From then on, we won each other over more every day.

Intelligent, overprotective, he loved to learn, eat, walk on a lead, run and was a real shadow... wherever we were, he was, preferably with his head resting on one of our laps. A cross between a pitt bull and a dalmatian, he was as fearless of what appeared to be greater dangers as he was frightened when we played with him. He never failed us. He never attacked anyone. He never did anything that his instinct to protect (or hunt 😒) didn't scream at him to do.

As he got to know the family and friends, he managed to win over everyone's heart - from the most suspicious (due to fear/unawareness), to those who were afraid of dogs and learnt to trust and enjoy living with him (not least because he also showed them patience and loyalty).

He was with us every day: on holiday, when we were moving house, on weekend getaways, even stays in 5-star hotels.
He would sit, give his paw, stay where we asked, wait for the signal to eat, lie down, touch our hands when we asked, he seemed to understand everything we told him (except when we wanted to stop him from what he had already decided..
(he truly had 200% of the obstinacy of a pitt) (...)
