𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗧𝗠𝗣𝗖 2026

Thanksgiving Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TMPC) successfully held the coronation of Ms. TMPC 2026 on October 24, celebrating beauty, confidence, talent, and the spirit of unity among cooperative members and the community.

Emerging as this year's Ms. TMPC 2026 was Krizel Laleo of Purok Laaw, who led an impressive roster of candidates in a celebration highlighted by a parade, candidate introductions, a serenade, dance presentations, and the presentation of special recognitions.

Joining the coronation court were the following awardees:

Vice Mayor Maria Carantes, the invited guest speaker, was represented by Sangguniang Bayan staff member Mr. Vinson Velasco, who delivered the message on her behalf. The event also featured welcome remarks from TMPC Board of Directors Chairperson Lilybeth B. Balutoc and a short message from Manager Agosto A. Aluyao.

Board of Directors Vice Chairperson Oliver D. Kiyawan served as the emcee, guiding the program through its highlights, including the crowning of Mr. and Ms. TMPC 2026.

The successful celebration was made possible through the dedication and cooperation of the assigned committees, cooperative officers, and supporters who worked together in preparing for the event.

More than a coronation, the celebration showcased the talents and confidence of the candidates while strengthening fellowship, camaraderie, and the cooperative spirit that continues to unite the members of Thanksgiving Multi-Purpose Cooperative.

🤝 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫: 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡!

Cooperatives from Abra, Apayao, Baguio, Ifugao, Benguet, Kalinga, and Mountain Province gathered in Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga, to celebrate the 29th Regional Cooperative Month.

Thanksgiving Multi-Purpose Cooperative was proudly represented by its Cooperative Manager, who joined the celebration as the cooperative’s lone representative.

During the parade, our manager was partnered with La Trinidad Vegetable Trading Post Multi-Purpose Cooperative—a beautiful example of the true spirit of cooperation, unity, and solidarity.

Our heartfelt thanks to you, Sir Chyner B. Tayaban, Junior Accounting Officer, and to the entire cooperative for your kindness, support, and companionship. Your gesture truly embodies the essence of the cooperative pledge:

“Alone I am weak, but together with others, I am strong.”

With the theme, “Matibay na Kooperatiba: Nagkakaisang Pamayanan para sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran,” this celebration highlights the vital role of cooperatives in building stronger communities, fostering unity, and promoting inclusive development.

A community safety project funded by the cooperative in Purok Hydro 1, involving the construction of a high fence along a hazardous area, was successfully completed and inspected by Director Oliver D. Kiyawan on October 23, 2026.

The project reflects the cooperative’s continuing commitment to community welfare and public safety by supporting initiatives that help protect residents from potential dangers. Through this community partnership, the cooperative contributes to creating a safer environment for the people of Purok Hydro 1.

This initiative demonstrates that cooperative development goes beyond economic services—it also means investing in the safety, well-being, and protection of the communities it serves.

Preparations for the much-awaited Ms. TMPC 2026 Coronation were successfully completed on October 23, 2026, through the cooperation, collaboration, and dedicated efforts of the assigned committees.

Each committee performed its respective responsibilities with commitment and teamwork, ensuring that the necessary arrangements were in place for the grand crowning activity scheduled on October 24, 2026, at 8:00 AM.

The collective efforts of everyone involved demonstrated the power of unity and shared responsibility in achieving a common goal. Their dedication helped ensure that the event was ready to celebrate beauty, confidence, talent, and the cooperative spirit.

With preparations in place, the team looked forward to a meaningful and memorable coronation, made possible by the invaluable contributions of every committee member and supporter.

SAN JUAN, LA UNION | October 20–22, 2026 — Credit Surety Fund (CSF) cooperatives gathered at the Awesome Hotel Ballroom in San Juan, La Union, for a three-day Credit Appraisal and Monitoring Course for Credit Surety Fund Cooperatives, aimed at strengthening credit evaluation, risk management, and responsible lending practices.

The training provided participants with valuable learning opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills in assessing loan applications, evaluating borrowers’ creditworthiness, analyzing financial information, and identifying potential credit risks. It also emphasized the importance of effective loan monitoring in ensuring that approved loans are used for their intended purposes and that borrowers remain capable of meeting their repayment obligations.

Throughout the three-day course, participants deepened their understanding of the credit appraisal process, from evaluating a borrower’s character and financial capacity to examining business operations, repayment sources, and other factors that influence sound lending decisions. The discussions also highlighted the importance of establishing appropriate loan conditions, implementing risk-mitigation measures, and conducting regular monitoring to help prevent delinquency and protect the financial stability of cooperatives.

Beyond technical knowledge, the course underscored the vital role of credit officers, appraisers, and cooperative leaders in promoting transparency, accountability, and prudent financial management. Through practical exercises, case analysis, and collaborative learning, participants were encouraged to apply sound judgment and evidence-based decision-making in handling credit applications and managing loan portfolios.

As cooperatives continue to support micro, small, and medium enterprises and other underserved borrowers, strengthening credit appraisal and monitoring capabilities remains essential to building a sustainable and resilient Credit Surety Fund system. Responsible lending practices not only safeguard cooperative resources but also help expand access to financing for qualified borrowers who need support in growing their businesses and improving their livelihoods.

The three-day training, held from October 20 to 22, 2026, served as a meaningful opportunity for professional development, knowledge sharing, and capacity building among participating CSF cooperatives.

With stronger credit assessment, proactive loan monitoring, and a shared commitment to responsible lending, cooperatives can continue to build trust, manage risks effectively, and empower communities through sustainable access to credit.

The third and final canvassing for the Search for Ms. TMPC 2026 was conducted on October 17, 2026, by the Canvassing Committee of Thanksgiving Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TMPC).

This final stage marked an important milestone in the much-anticipated search, which celebrates the candidates’ participation and the cooperative spirit of unity, engagement, and shared commitment among its members.

The Canvassing Committee completed the final canvassing process as preparations continued for the announcement of the official results.

The much-awaited results will be officially revealed during the Crowning Ceremony of Ms. TMPC 2026, to be held in celebration of Cooperative Month.

As the cooperative community looks forward to the coronation, excitement continues to build as members await the crowning of the next Ms. TMPC, highlighting the beauty, confidence, and cooperative values embodied by the candidates.

Thanksgiving Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Thanksgiving MPC) strengthened its representation in the cooperative sector through the participation of its leaders in the 4th Annual Regular General Assembly of the Benguet Credit Surety Fund (CSF) Cooperative, held at the ATI-CAR Canteen, Benguet State University Compound, La Trinidad, Benguet.

Representing Thanksgiving MPC were Lilybeth B. Balutoc, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, and Julia B. Banagen, Chairperson of the Credit Committee (CreCom). Their participation demonstrated the cooperative’s commitment to collaboration, financial inclusion, and sustainable cooperative development.

A significant highlight of the assembly was the election of Lilybeth B. Balutoc as one of the Board of Directors of the Benguet CSF Cooperative. This milestone provided Thanksgiving MPC with an opportunity to contribute to the cooperative’s governance and support initiatives that promote accessible financial services and growth among member cooperatives and their stakeholders.

Carrying the theme, “United for Financial Inclusion, Empowered for Sustainable Growth,” the assembly underscored the importance of unity, active member participation, and shared responsibility in advancing inclusive and sustainable financial opportunities.
