Fresh gulay and chef-quality ready-to-cook seafood are available this week from the HanapGulay x Tindagat Hub 🥬🐟

Because of the lingering effects of the long rains, some Dumagat and upland vegetables are more limited than usual. We believe in eating with the seasons and working with what nature can provide and support better postharvest systems that can help protect farmers and fishers from the impact of difficult weather.

This week, we have a wide selection of seafood and vegetables available. Price lists are included in the pictures below.

Hello HanapGulay Community! 🥬

The rains have made moving fresh produce much more difficult this week, especially from our upland and farmer partners.

Our upland vegetables were able to make it down, although prices are higher than usual because of the weather and added postharvest challenges. We’ve adjusted selected prices where we can to help cushion the increase for our customers.

For our Dumagat farmer partners in Daraitan, a new batch of greens and crops unfortunately wasn’t able to come down because of a landslide along Marilaque, according to our farmer partner. They’ll try again on Wednesday, conditions permitting.

We still have the following available from Daraitan:

We also have fresh stocks from Batanes, Benguet, and Ilocos, including Baguio beans, bokchoy, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, garlic, potatoes, spinach, wombok, yakon, and more.
