From Spicy Diwata and Spicy Bathala Ketchups rebranded into
π
HAYNAYAN KETCHUPS π
Not made in a factory.
Not made by a corporation.
Not made by a team of hundreds.
Made by me. And with the help of rebranding this with Marla Darwin π΅π & Joel Darwin back in 2016, Haynayan Ketchups started from a simple idea: What if ketchup could taste like the Philippines?
So I started making it since 2013, along side with my first brand Chili Asylum αααα, the way I believe food should be made with real ingredients, careful cooking, small batches, and a deep respect for the people who grow and produce what we eat. Inspired by Maria Orosaβs banana ketchup invention!
Every bottle is made by hand.
Every batch is cooked by me.
Every recipe has been tested, adjusted, tasted, and made again.
Haynayan means study of biology. The study of life. Hence the connection of bathala and diwata was the puzzle that fits! This is my little way of putting Filipino produce, Filipino farmers, and Filipino flavors into something familiar, a bottle of my favorite condiment, the ketchup.
It may be small.
But small food businesses matter.
Because behind every bottle are ingredients grown by someone, hands that worked for them, and a maker who cares enough to turn them into something worth sharing.
