Our general assembly today was a huge success. We sat down together and went through all our agenda items clearly, making sure every farmer understood our next steps. We also laid out our financial books on the table. Every single peso was accounted for, showing everyone that our hard-earned money is handled with total honesty.
The biggest moment of the day came when we talked about our leadership. Because our current officers have done an outstanding job managing our association and hitting our goals, the floor showed them true appreciation. The majority voted to keep the whole team in place and extended their terms for another 5 years. It just made sense to keep a good team together so we don't lose our momentum.
Living up to our theme, "Innovate and Elevate," the whole day succeeded because nobody sat on the sidelines. From setting up the chairs to sharing ideas, every member pitched in. We left the meeting feeling less like just an association, and more like a family ready to grow together.
