Over a thousand freshies and transfer students have officially made Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) their home away from home!
Close to 1,700 freshmen, not even counting transferees, were officially welcomed into CCDC as they undertook an orientation at the Tupay-ya Gym on August 14.
Vice President for Administration Atty. Annabelle Gondales opened the event by encouraging students to stay strong and work hard in their studies, while Vice President for Academics Marina Sagandoy challenged students to take control of their education and participate actively in campus life.
Crisis Response Officer Lourence Miguel taught the students on how to respond to various emergencies in campus as well as on safety and security rules to keep the campus safe.
Meanwhile, staff from the school registrar and library explained how their offices work on the enrollment, grades, and research. Representatives from the Medical, Dental, and Guidance offices also shared on physical and mental health support services.
Students were also introduced to school rules, scholarships, school organizations, and the student publication, Cordillera Bulletin.
Prior to the orientation, school chaplain Rev. Fr. Benny Villapa started the day with a holy mass, urging students to stay thankful, appreciate their parents' sacrifices, and follow the selfless example of martyred priest, St. Maximilian Kolbe.βIan Helario
