With winter well and truly here, we've put together another week of hearty meal ideas designed to feed a family of four without breaking the budget.

These meals are all about keeping everyone full, warm and satisfied. You could easily lighten them up a little or beef them up to suit your family's appetite, but we've based these ideas around affordable, hearty dinners that offer great value.

🧱 HELP BUILD THE FUTURE OF O'Conor Home 🧱

O'Conor Home is fundraising for a much-needed 24-bed extension to help meet the growing demand for aged care services in Buller.

As our population continues to age, this extension will help ensure local families can access the care and support their loved ones need, right here in our community.

You can help by purchasing a brick for just $10.

Our goal is to sell 1,000 bricks through FreshChoice Westport. If we reach that target, the Buller community will have raised $10,000 towards the project.

To help support this important cause, FreshChoice Westport will donate an additional $1,000 if our customers purchase 1,000 bricks.

Together, that's an incredible $11,000 contribution towards providing more beds and care for our ageing population.

🍽️ THIS WEEK'S 5 MEALS UNDER $100 CHALLENGE! 🍽️

Our deli team flicked through the mailer looking for inspiration, and this week two specials jumped straight off the page:

🍗 Chicken Breast – $12.99kg
🥝 Kiwifruit – $3.49kg

So we set the team a challenge...

"Can we create some family meals using these ingredients that people probably haven't tried before?"

The result? Three surprisingly delicious chicken and kiwifruit meals, plus two winter warmers that are perfect for these colder nights.

Now before you scroll past and say...

We thought it sounded a little different too!

But that's what makes this week's challenge fun. The deli team took some of the best specials from the mailer and came up with a few meal ideas that might just surprise you.
