✨Novel incoming✨….

You may have noticed we haven’t jumped on the Sea Moss train at Inu.

That’s intentional.

While Sea Moss is being marketed as a miracle superfood, the science behind many of the health claims is still pretty limited. What we do know is that Sea Moss naturally contains very high levels of iodine, which can be problematic for people with thyroid conditions or those taking certain medications.

It can also trigger allergic reactions in people with sensitivities to seaweed, shellfish, or iodine, and because it’s harvested from the ocean, quality and contamination levels can vary significantly between products.

Sea Moss may also interact with medications for thyroid disorders, blood pressure, blood thinning, and diabetes, making it something that isn’t suitable for everyone.

At Inu, we’re big fans of wellness, but we’re even bigger fans of evidence-based wellness. We’d rather offer products that are safe, transparent, and suitable for as many people as possible than chase every trend that pops up on TikTok.

So for now, Sea Moss isn’t making the menu. We’ll stick to serving drinks that taste incredible and help you feel good without the question marks.

We’re not saying Sea Moss is the villain. We’re just saying if a product comes with a disclaimer longer than our menu, we’re probably going to sit that trend out. 😆

Turns out even chaos needs a day off.

From this week, Inu will be running on winter mode:

🕘 Tuesday – Saturday
🕓 9am – 4pm

Mondays have been promoted to “staying in our pyjamas and making questionable life choices” day.

Don’t panic though—we’re still here five days a week serving your Loaded Teas, Dirty Sodas, Protein Smoothies, Frappes, Coffee and all the other little drinks that make life slightly more tolerable.

So set your alarms (or don’t), grab your emotional support beverage, and we’ll see you Tuesday through Saturday.
