8am to 1pm the vibrant farmer’s market is a focal point for locals and growers to meet. Luscious produce from the area fills the stalls – fruit and vegetables, delicious home baking and Italian-style sausages, certified organic herbs & seedlings for your garden, divine organic chocolate, fine wines and boutique olive oils, locally-brewed beer, the all-important morning coffee and live music as an accompaniment.

Before the colourful bunches of radishes, leafy greens and fresh flowers arrive at the market, there is a whole story growing quietly in the soil. 🌱

At Fable to Table Farm, Mish grows beautiful spray-free produce and flowers on her small-scale farm. Everything is grown with care, harvested by hand and brought to the Matakana Village Farmers’ Market for your weekend table.

It is local food in the truest sense: fresh from the garden, grown from the heart and sold by the farmer who nurtured it.
