🌿 MEET THREE OAKS ORGANIC FARM 🥛🐄

We’re excited to introduce you to Three Oaks Organic Farm — a family-owned organic farm with two generations of history behind it.

David O’Donnell returned to his family farm with his partner Teresa after several years in Queenstown, with a commitment to producing honest, wholesome food while caring for the land that produces it.

What makes Three Oaks so special? They are genuinely farm-direct. 🌱

From caring for the land and their herd, through to milking, processing and getting their products into the hands of customers, the Three Oaks team is involved every step of the way.

Their cows spend their lives on pasture, they farm without synthetic chemical inputs, and they work with the seasons and natural systems rather than treating farming like a factory.

As Teresa puts it:

“Organic farming isn't about being different for the sake of being different. It is about producing good food while caring for the land and ensuring it remains healthy for the future.”

And the best part? You can get your hands on their beautiful whole milk and pot-set yoghurt right here at Gather Wairarapa! 🤍

By choosing Three Oaks, you’re supporting a local family farm, local food production and a paddock-to-plate approach where you can actually know where your food comes from and who produces it.

🌸STALLHOLDER SPOTLIGHT – THE ACREAGE
We’re delighted to have Brigid from The Acreage joining us at Gather Wairarapa, bringing beautiful, locally grown flowers and a little bit of eco-conscious floral joy. 💐
What began around seven years ago as a way to spend more time at a special place in the Wairarapa has blossomed into a sustainable small business. Today, The Acreage is a thriving flower-growing project, with a growing field, new beds and a polytunnel helping to extend the growing season.
🌿 Seasonal cut flowers
💐 Straight bunches
🌸 Beautiful mixed bouquets
The Acreage takes a considered approach to the land, with a strong focus on soil health and environmentally friendly growing practices. The result is a thriving ecosystem filled with bees, beneficial insects, birdlife and rich, healthy soil.
While most flowers are supplied wholesale to florists, grocers and retailers, it’s always a pleasure to bring seasonal blooms directly to customers too.
The growing season generally runs from September to April, with gorgeous seasonal flowers available throughout.
Planning a wedding or event? The Acreage also offers bloom buckets and bouquets, with direct orders available during the growing season.
Come along to Gather Wairarapa, say hello to Brigid and discover some beautiful blooms from The Acreage – locally grown, thoughtfully cultivated and full of Wairarapa sunshine. 🌸🌿

🍯🐝STALLHOLDER SPOTLIGHT – HELEN’S HONEY

We’re buzzing to have Helen with us at Gather Wairarapa Market! 💛

A small family business, Helen’s Honey has been supplying the Wairarapa with quality honey for over 10 years. Their love of bees started with a single hive in their early 20s, and when they moved to Masterton, four hives came with them. Over the years, that passion grew into a beekeeping and honey business.

🍯 Four varieties of delicious Wairarapa honey
🍯 Available in liquid or creamed forms
🍯 500g & 900g pots, plus larger buckets and bulk orders
🍯 Bring your own container and they can fill it for you!

But it’s not just about the honey! You’ll also find beautiful hand-dipped beeswax candles, beeswax lip balms, furniture polish, leather dubbin and blocks of beeswax.

One of the special things about Helen’s Honey is that each apiary site is extracted separately, preserving the unique flavour of each location and season. From rich bush honey to lighter, milder varieties, the flavour can change from year to year depending on what the Wairarapa weather brings. 🌿🐝

Helen’s Honey also gives back to our local community, supplying honey to the Masterton Food Bank each month – something we think is pretty special. ❤️

Come along, meet Helen - the face behind the honey and take home a taste of the Wairarapa!

🐝 Helen’s Honey – local bees, local honey, lots of love! 🍯
