Good morning North Canterbury, bit more in today from the auction so its building slowly but surely as we start to see the new season progress. We’re so excited to announce the Kaiapoi Community Christmas Market, proudly brought to you by the Kaiapoi Club and Blackwell’s Department Store!

We started this event because we wanted to see a market back in the centre of Kaiapoi — bringing people together, creating a bit of Christmas magic and giving our community a place to meet, shop local and enjoy a day out together. ❤️

And of course, what’s Christmas without Santa! 🎅🎄

Morning North Canterbury, low in quantity but high on quality today. Those beautiful whole flounder are only $19.99kg whole and if you are after a couple of fillets im more than happy to fillet some for you and of course theres no charge on processing. Right best I get stuck into it team, have a fantastic Monday 😃

Morning all, plenty to set you up for a tasty, healthy feed of seafood this weekend. A few specials on with akaroa cod and sea perch fillets both out today at $29.99kg amd some stunning whole flounder $22.99kg. Big weekend of sport ahead so GO THE WHITE FERNS, SILVER FERNS, BLACK FERNS and ALL BLACKS. Have a great weekend North Canterbury (and everyone else of course) 😀

Stunning silver warehou, I take a lot of the fat layer off when I remove the pin bones as per most of my customers preference. However I am more than happy to leave it on, just let me know and I can process to specific requirements. Silver warehou is a lean, mild clean tasting fish with a slight sweetness. The fillets are bang on baked, pan fried and battered while its also a fantastic whole and steaking option.

Anyone see last night's world cup opener ( league) what a game, both elated with the performance from the kiwis and heartbroken by the result, oh well thats sport. Morning team, plenty of options today. Feedback on those 1kg bags of garlic and herb prawns skewers has been pretty positive so that looks like it could be a mainstay over the warmer months. No fresh whitebait in today but plenty of frozen 100 and 200 gr bags, all from this season of course. Ok best I get into some processing before Lee-anne slaps me around the chops with a turbot (she's a tough taskmaster) have a wonderful Thursday and GO THE KIWIS tonight 😀
