Avoman - Puketona Avocado Orchard Puketona Avocado Orchard, for the best super fruit around! Owned and operated by BOI locals Anna & Brett 'Avoman' King for over 25 years.

We have several varieties of avocados — Our winter variety Fuerte, available in July, the ever popular Hass available from August, and our summer crop, Reed, available from December/January. We also have Bacon, Zutano and Pinkerton varieties on our orchard! We sell our fruit at the Bay of Islands Farmers Markets (Paihia on Thursdays, Kerikeri on Sunday Mornings), The Old Packhouse Market, and at o

ur roadside shop in Puketona (halfway between Kerikeri and Paihia), which is open 24/7 when Avocados are in season (approx. July – March, season depending).

We’ll be at the Old Packhouse Market on Saturday the 13th June, and at Bay of Islands Farmers’ Market on Sunday the 14th June!

We’ve officially picked our last Hass avocado of the year. But don’t worry—we’re finishing the season strong with the "Connoisseur’s Choice": The Reed.
Known for their round shape and incredibly buttery texture, our Reeds will be available for about two more weeks (or until the trees are bare!).

We had a little "Arctic Blast" in our chiller last night, and around 200 of our beautiful avocados decided they wanted to be extra cool. Our loss is your baking gain!
We’ve prepped some 350g "Baker’s Packs" of pure, smashed avocado. They are perfectly portioned to be used all at once in your favorite recipes.
