Happy two years to Bare. That still feels a bit surreal.
It’s been two years of learning, growing, crying, laughing, cleaning up spills and somehow still showing up the next day to do it all over again.
Bare has grown so much. We’ve taken on fresh produce, partnered up with our friends at Expleo, learnt a million lessons the hard way and kept figuring things out as we go. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been pretty real and I’m so proud of what we’ve built.
What makes Bare special isn’t just the sea salt caramels or the spices or the plastic-free mission. It’s the people. The customers who’ve become friends, the kids who now bring grandparents in to buy their coveted dried mango and the ones who stop in just to say hi. You’ve all made this store feel like home.
And then there’s Made Hamilton. Being a part of this place has been such a gift. The other people who work here, the snack sharing, the laughs, the support and the shared chaos. It’s a real community and I honestly couldn’t imagine Bare being anywhere else now.
To my team, both past and present, thank you. Every single person who’s worked here has played a part in building what Bare is today. You’ve put your heart into it and kept the shelves looking beautiful, supported me when I’ve forgotten what’s on my to-do list and treated this place like your own and I will always be grateful for that.
To everyone who’s been part of this journey, thank you for keeping Bare up and running and reminding me why I started.
Here’s to another year of growing, learning, and freeing the food.
