3 years ago this week, I took over Four Square Clive ๐๐
What a journey itโs been.
Over the last 3 years, weโve brought in thousands of new products, refreshed layouts, upgraded shelves and chillers, and taken on countless projects to keep improving the store. But more importantly, weโve worked hard to turn our little Four Square into something bigger than just a supermarket โ a true community hub.
The best part of this journey has been becoming part of the Clive community itself. From continually supporting Clive School and Friends of School, sponsoring and hanging out with the boys at the Clive Rugby Club, sponsoring Stars In Cliveโs Eyes and jumping on stage and rapping 2 years in a row to help raise funds for the school, supporting and helping with the hฤngฤซ in Whakatu and Clive, and supporting countless local causes and community groups โ these moments are what make Clive so special and what makes this community feel like home.
And honestly, the community has looked after me just as much as weโve tried to look after it. Over the years Iโve been fed with countless crayfish, pฤua, kina, whitebait, venison, homemade cookies, muffins and cakes โ not to mention all the birthday gifts and Christmas presents from locals. That kind of generosity and kindness is something truly special, and something Iโll never take for granted.
A massive thank you to all our customers and the people of Clive for the incredible support over the past 3 years. So many people who first walked through our doors as customers have become genuine friends and whฤnau, and that means the world to us.
Weโre incredibly proud to be part of this amazing community and excited for what the future holds as we continue to grow together.
When youโve got the whole community at your back, thereโs really nothing to worry about.
