Our wonderful Tineke has officially resigned as of yesterday. 40+ years behind the counter, and the last couple helping things tick over behind the scenes. What a legend! We will miss you, Tineke, and look forward to having you in the shop as a much loved customer!! (And probably behind the counter helping out from time to time when it's busy!)

We’re looking for an awesome person to join our team.
Knowledge and understanding of wholefoods and organics are important- and/or the desire to truly learn.
Our customers are our greatest assets, so sincere customer service is essential.
Must be a Christchurch resident, with full NZ work eligibility. The job requires the ability to lift and move heavy items, so physical fitness is a prerequisite.
You must be flexible, energetic, have a great work ethic, initiative and a cooperative mentality. As this is a reliever position the hours change week to week, depending on our needs. If you’re interested and think you fit the bill, we’d love to hear from you! Interviews will be held very soon so please apply ASAP! 15 years ago, the earthquake that changed everything. 💔
But while we lost our building and our business temporarily, 15 years later here we are just the same as ever - a group of diverse but equally committed people doing our best to provide good food at good prices to our community. Thanks to you all for continuing to support us.. by shopping at Piko you are contributing to the wider community (much of our profits go back into the community in the form of grants and donations) and helping us to prove that you don't have to do things the "normal" way to be successful.. more than 40 years of running this business as a workers' co-operative and low profit charitable trust; with no boss, no shareholders.. just a bunch of people who feel strongly about doing our bit to create a better world in any small way that we can.

Open until 6.30pm on Christmas eve, then we'll close for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Open Saturday Dec 26th. Closed Sunday as usual..
Then back open Mon -Wed of the middle week, and closed January 1st and 2nd. Back to normal from Saturday 3rd.
