One standout has been the Pasta Vera range. It has been selling so well that we've really bulked up our latest order. They're a local Christchurch company producing quality fresh meals, and we're proud to support local where we can.

👋 KING'S BIRTHDAY HOURS 👋

Just a quick heads up that we'll be operating reduced hours tomorrow for King's Birthday and will be in line with our neighbours at Couplands.

This is a change from our usual trading hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm.

🔥 TOUGH WEEK, BUT WE'RE STILL PUSHING FORWARD 🔥

It's been a really tough week heading into the weekend, and we're genuinely grateful for all the support, messages, and encouragement we've received from the community.

A really hard part has been seeing some of our regular customers, especially pensioners, come in looking for the small trays of meat they would normally buy for the week, only to find they're no longer there. It's genuinely tough to see.

Rather than sit still, we're doing everything we can to find new ways to provide value. Our ready-meals cabinet is being stocked next week, and we're hopeful it will provide a convenient and affordable option for many of those customers who relied on our fresh meat offering.

The past few weeks have obviously been incredibly challenging for our us and our community. Right now we need to stay focused, support each other and keep pushing.

Over the last few days, we’ve spent a huge amount of time planning and strategising how we continue bringing value, sharp pricing and a strong offering back to the community moving forward ❤️

Hey everyone 👋

As many of you know, things have been pretty tough lately with the legal situation surrounding our fresh meat department.

What’s honestly meant the most through all of this has been the support from the community. The messages, people shopping with us, checking in on staff, and backing a local independent business has genuinely kept us going ❤️

Rather than sit still, we’re trying to look at positive ways we can continue supporting the community while also creating opportunities for other locals too.

One idea we’re currently exploring is working alongside local people who already make quality heat-and-eat meals or ready-to-go food products from home, small businesses, catering kitchens or community groups that may want a space to showcase and sell their products through Harvest Market 👊

We’d especially love to hear from anyone making things like:
🍛 Curries & casseroles
🥘 Family meals
🥗 Healthy meal prep
🍲 Soups & slow-cooked meals
❄️ Frozen ready meals
🌏 Cultural or specialty food offerings

We’re also open to chatting with anyone who already has the equipment and experience to potentially operate or produce from part of our existing site space in some capacity.

The goal is simple really, help create more affordable, convenient food options for the east side while also supporting more local people at the same time.

To our community ☹️

This is a really hard post for us to make.

Following a recent interim Court decision relating to an ongoing legal dispute, we will be temporarily ceasing sales of retail butchery products from Harvest Market from close of business Wednesday, 27th May while we work through the next steps.

To say we’re gutted would be an understatement.

So much work, stress, long hours and passion has gone into building this store over the past few months. Seeing the support from the community around what we were building honestly meant the world to us.

What hurts the most is the impact this now has on our team and the uncertainty it creates for genuinely good people who backed this business and worked incredibly hard to help us get it off the ground.

While this is a major setback, Harvest Market is still here, and we remain committed to building something positive for the community. While the sale of retail butchery products will cease for the time being, our produce, grocery, chilled, frozen and everyday essentials departments will continue growing to offer even more value.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us through the highs and lows so far. The messages, conversations in-store and support online have meant more than you probably realise ❤️

We’ll keep everyone updated as things progress.
