The Vines Cafe and Cheese & Cheers is melting together this winter to bring back a local winter favourite - the blue cheese souffle!

Available only Tuesdays and Wednesdays all winter long at Cheese & Cheers, this blue cheese souffle is made with love 💙 by the Vines Cafe team using Whitestone's Windsor Blue Cheese. Served with a pear 🍐 and walnut salad for $22.50.

Add a whisky pairing 🥃 or non-alcoholic Hot Toddy 🫖 made with Kiwi Spirit Distillery's Wild Manuka Tonic for $5.

It's a big cheese week at Cheese & Cheers! With some new cheeses, old favourites, and the South Island classics. Let Cheese & Cheers be your local cheesemongers for cheeses big and small, blocks or rounds!

South Island Cheese tastings are always available for $10 which includes a range of 4 cheeses with local preserve, crackers, and sourdough bread.

Barrys Bay - Maasdam, Havarti, Gouda, Cumin Spice Cheddar, Cold Smoked Pohutukawa Red, Wood Smoked Cheddar, Gruyere, and returned is the Cracker Pepper Cheddar.

Gibbston Valley - the sheep's milk Balfour Pecorino.

Karikaas - Herb and Garlic Gouda.

Little River Estate - the staff favourite - the Tasman Blue! Plus the Camembert and Haloumi.

Thorvald - the sheep's milk Curado and Camembert.

Valhal - the goat's milk Feta, Freya, and the Fresh Goat's Cheese Natural or Herb and Garlic or Chili.

ViaVio - Back in stock are the Fontal, Monello, Peppercorn Caciotta, and Pecorino.

Whitestone - the NEW Mt Kyeburn aged maple smoked cheddar, NEW Lake Pukaki Blue Brie, the Mt Domett Double Cream Brie, Creamy Havarti, Windsor Blue, and Waitaki Camembert.

Join us for an in depth cheese and wine pairing event on Sunday, June 28th at 3pm with special guests Whitehaven Wines and cheeses from Thorvald, Valhal, and Little River Estate.

The afternoon will include five wines presented by Whitehaven paired with cheeses from Thorvald, Valhal, and Little River Estate including a special baked Little River Estate brie.

Tickets are $35 and are available for purchase at Cheese & Cheers or online. Deals will be available to ticket holders at the event. Space is limited - book your experience soon to avoid disappointment.

Tonight the Cardrona Distillery from the remote Cardrona Valley in Otago, is coming to Marlborough at Cheese & Cheers for a casual in-store tasting event from 5:30 to 7pm. Tickets are only $10 to taste the full range of whiskies along with their Reid Vodka and Rose Rabbit liqueurs. Door sales and walk-ins welcome.

The Cardrona Distillery spearheaded the revival of whisky production in New Zealand and with pioneering efforts have played a key role in elevating New Zealand’s global reputation in the spirits industry.

Cardrona Distillery is nestled in the beautiful Cardrona Valley, in the Crown Range mountains of New Zealand. The very best equipment has been sourced from the four corners of the earth, to make great hand-crafted Single Malt Whisky, Gin, Vodka and limited edition Liqueurs.

Every drop of The Cardrona Single Malt Whisky begins with three ingredients, pristine alpine water, malted barley and distiller’s yeast. Cardrona’s barley is grown on the rich fertile plains of the South Island of New Zealand. Malted to exact specifications, milled on-site at the distillery and combined with Cardrona mountain water in a custom built, semi-lauter mash tun. The wort is drawn into stainless steel washbacks, where yeast is added for a minimum 70-hour fermentation, fermenting the natural barley sugars into wash.

To craft The Cardrona Single Malt Whisky, the wash is double-distilled in a pair of hand-hammered Forsyths copper pot stills, bespoke to Cardrona, and the rich, sweet spirit filled into traditionally seasoned ex-sherry, ex-pinot noir or ex-bourbon casks before being laid to slumber and mature.

This Thursday, the Cardrona Distillery is returning to Cheese & Cheers for a very special in-store tasting event from 5:30pm to 7pm.

This event will launch Cardrona's esteemed whisky range and delectable Rose Rabbit liqueurs at Cheese & Cheers.

Tickets are only $10, and available in store and at the door. Special Cardrona door prizes for first 20 customers attending. Bottle pre-sales are also available at Cheese & Cheers or at our new online shop. Each bottle pre-sale will include a free, complimentary event ticket.

Discover Pokeno Whisky's Discovery.

Fully matured in carefully selected first-fill bourbon, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, blended and then laid back down in cask again to create Pōkeno Discovery. It is a rich and complex whisky, with notes of dark chocolate, black forest gateau, ripe cherries and sweet citrus, giving way to a rich, smooth and lengthy finish.

Available for tastings as well as bottle purchases at Cheese & Cheers, located at 193 Rapaura Road. Open every day from 10am to 5pm.
