Through Local Eyes: Faces of Glen Innes Town Centre.
A Photographic Exhibition by Jesse Marsters in collaboration with Te Oro.
This intimate portrait series by Glen Innes-raised photographer Jesse Marsters captures the vibrant tapestry of individuals, businesses and community groups that give the Glen Innes Town Centre its distinctive character and spirit.
Born and raised in Tāmaki, Marsters brings an insider's perspective to his documentation of the area's diverse faces—from longtime locals, community leaders to everyday heroes. Each portrait is accompanied by the subject's own words, creating a powerful narrative mosaic that reflects the neighborhood's past, present, and evolving future.
All welcome to opening event 2pm, Saturday 10 May at Te Oro's Omaru Gallery. Exhibition ends 10 August.
Part of Te Oro Tekau (10 year celebration event) and Auckland Festival of Photography.
