Akaroa Cheese Shop, run by Emma, will be showcasing delicious NZ-made cheese, cut to order, every Sunday at Little River Farmers Market this summer. I have been involved in NZ cheese for a number of years, previously working at Barrys Bay Dairy Co., where my love affair with New Zealand cheese really began. From attending the Cheese Festival in Marlborough to receiving a monthly cheese subscriptio

n from 2 different companies, I have discovered so many wonderful offerings and now I want to share them with you! I've been a steward and a judge at the NZ Champions of Cheese Awards, and I'm also currently studying towards my Level 2 qualification with the UK-based Academy of Cheese. Armed with this ever-growing knowledge, and heaps of passion, Akaroa Cheese Shop is here to help you fall in love with New Zealand cheese too!!

Sunday 17th May - another cheese pop up shop!

This time we will be sharing some space with the amazing wahine down at the Flowers & Art shop (next door to Grand Hotel on Rue Lavaud) - Emma Perrin Art and

The weather is meant to be stunning and The Grand Hotel & Bar Akaroa are throwing a wee party of their own for the Run Akaroa inaugural marathon! Plenty of reasons to drop in, say hi and get yourself some treats!

Super excited to share this event with you all - a cheesy collaboration with the wonderful Lou & Ant from The Akaroa Cooking School on Sunday 31st May 🧀🫕💛

A night of seriously cheesy indulgence, with cheese inspired canapés from them and a fondue dinner from me - what's not to love?!

You asked so we delivered!

Tomorrow is the LAST Little River Farmers Market of the season (we're not quite sure what we'll do with our Sunday mornings now!) so we thought we'd give you one last treat with the return of the absolute summer faves from (Mt Watkin Garlic has been one of the most requested by our customers!)

We've also been busy making more of our summer special - our Smoked Oyster Mushroom Brie 😍🤤🔥 combining the magic of Southern Mushrooms Ltd smoked mushrooms with the soft, creamy and utterly delicious brie of - it is divine!
