Most of us are afraid to borrow

See me making calls to borrow money. Most of us are afraid of debt, because all we have seen are bad debts that ruined businesses and not the ones that built empires.

Many of us have watched people borrow to impress others….. Borrow to buy liabilities…
Borrow to fund comfort instead of capacity.

And in their mind, they concluded that debt itself is dangerous and wouldn't need it in their businesses.

But my dear, debt is not the problem. Ignorance is the problem.

Debt used for consumption makes you a slave, but when it is used for assets, it makes you a builder.

There is a difference between borrowing to look rich and borrowing to become wealthy. One drains you every month while the other pays you every month.

The TV you borrow to buy will depreciate, but you see that equipment, property, or system you borrow to build can multiply.

That’s why wealthy people don’t fear debt at all, what they fear is an unproductive debt.

You cant see wealthy people borrow for lifestyle, they borrow for leverage.

And leverage, when guided by wisdom, discipline, and structure, becomes one of the fastest tools for business growth.

So the real question is not....
“Should I borrow?”

The real question is....
“Will this debt produce income or just produce comfort?”

Any moment your debt begins to pay you…
it stops being a burden and becomes a tool and a weapon for building wealth.

Dangote borrows billions. But every naira he borrows goes into something that produces more naira.
