OCTOBER 2026
THEME: "THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION" - Psalm 27:1
TODAY β SUNDAY, 11TH OCTOBER 2026
TOPIC: _Light Shines In Darkness_
SCRIPTURE: John 1:5 β "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."_
WORD OF GRACE
Beloved, Happy Sunday!
This is the assurance of our theme β *The Lord is my Light and my Salvation.* Darkness may be real, but it is not powerful enough to overcome light.
Today's scripture says light _shines_ β present continuous. It is not that light shone yesterday and stopped. Light is shining RIGHT NOW over your family, over your health, over Nigeria.
What is darkness?
Darkness is that sickness report, that debt that refuses to go, that delay in marriage or promotion, that confusion about what next.
But hear the Word of Grace:
Darkness cannot comprehend light. The word _comprehend_ means two things β darkness cannot _understand_ it, and darkness cannot _overcome_ or _hold_ it.
When you enter a dark room and switch on the torch, darkness does not argue. It leaves. That is what Godβs light does.
Why are you afraid of darkness when you carry light? As a chid of God, you are a carrier of light.
What to do today, Sunday:
1. Don't curse the darkness, turn on the light. Instead of complaining about the problem, pray in the Holy Ghost, speak the Word, worship. Light comes when you do.
2. Stay in fellowship. Light shines brighter when we gather. Don't miss service today β corporate light is stronger.
No matter how dark your night looks β sickness, business, academic stress β Godβs light is already shining there. Your testimony is that darkness did not win.
PRAYER: Father, let Your light shine in every dark area of my life, my home, and my church. Let every darkness be dispelled.
DECLARATION: Light is shining in my life, my family and my destiny. Darkness cannot comprehend or overcome me. I walk in victory today.
