‘Oh my God Khalid!!!’..i cried out and jumped on his body immediately…

‘Hey baby i missed you’..he replied in a whisper kssing me softly…

The taste of his l!ps just made me explode with happiness and i raked my hands through his hair…

‘You b@stard!!!’..i finally said after breaking from the p@ssionate r0mance…

‘Yeah i know you’re angry at me Madison and I’m sorry’..he replied with a smile on his face..


‘Yeah I know you’re sorry,I missed you so much’..I replied and tears flowed down freely from my eyes…

He cleaned them out and pressed a kss to my forehead..

‘I know Madison and I’m sorry’..he repeated and then a frown flashed across my face and i hit his chest playfully..

‘You b@stard i thought you were dead!!!,I thought you left me and wouldn’t come back!!’…


‘Oh Madison I’ll never leave you and you know that,come with me’..he whispered and dragged me across the woods….

We crossed a little river and then got to a beautiful white house that was well hidden from the palace…

‘Khalid what is this place??’..i asked as he opened the door…

‘Ohh this is my secret lair,this was my first birthday gift from my mom before she died,no one knows about it apart from you now not even my Dad,i used to come here as a kid whenever I was angry and i still do even as an adult’…he replied and we both entered….

The walls were adorned with beautiful paintings of Khalid’s mother and i smiled…


She really looks like him…

‘It’s beautiful’..i murmured swiping a little bit of dust with my index finger…

‘Yeah i know that’s why I brought you here to show you this’..he replied and when i turned I got the shock of my life…

There was a painting ..

A painting of Khalid and i sleeping in each others arms…

My hair was sprawled against his chest and my eyes were closed with my mouth slightly opened…

‘Oh my God Khalid how did you…

‘I drew it,it was the first time we made love Madison and the first time you slept in my arms looking so peaceful and beautiful I just couldn’t waste that special moment so i made a painting about it’..he said..

I smiled like a fool spreading my fingers around the painting and then kssed him again…

‘You’re the best husband Khalid,you’re the best and i also have a surprise for you I’m. ..

‘Yeah you’ll have to tell me that later but right now’..he said with his voice trailing and carried me up on his waist..

‘You’re a pervert Khalid,for three weeks you disappeared for somewhat reason that you’re surely going to explain later and now you want to make love??’..i asked and he released a hearty laugh…

‘For weeks Madison I fought the urge to stay away to execute my plan,for weeks I fought the urge to kill Kyra and my uncle for the punishment they meted on you but now I’m back Madison,I’m back for revenge!!!!’…

I walked slowly into Madison’s room wearing nothing but a simple robe with bulge under my trousers…

‘Madison??’..i called but when i got to her bed and opened it .

There was a pillow!!…

Two pillows in fact!!!…

‘Guards!!!’..i screamed angrily and two of them ran inside immediately…

‘Yes your highness??’..

‘Find Lady Madison and bring her to the throne room right now!!!!’…

‘Yeah what is it??’..i asked kssing her forehead for the fourth time in a row …

‘I..Well Uhhh we’re having a baby’..she said and i je**ed..

‘Really??,you mean you’re wait you’re pregnant?!!’..i screamed and she nodded in agreement…

I’m going to be a father?!!..

I’m finally going to be a father?!!..

‘Oh God Madison you’re a sweetheart!!!’..i said and hugged her tightly…

‘Yeah but let’s leave that aside,what are your plans Khalid??,what are you going to do now?!!’..she asked and i smiled..

‘Oh Madison that’s no problem but I want you to go back to the palace at exactly 7am tomorrow don’t let any of intimidate you not even Kyra cause I’ll be behind you okay??’..

‘Okay’..she replied..

‘Yeah now that that’s over what should we name our baby??’..i asked and she laughed…

‘Ohhh Khalid you do know that I’m still in the first stage right??’…

‘Yeah i know that’s why I’m planning,i don’t want to rush our baby planning’…

I snuck back into the palace barefooted and the moment i opened my door Lord Arnold was there….

With Kyra and four guards on their knees ..

‘Good morning’..i murmured..

‘where have you been Madison??’..Kyra asked with a scowl on her face…

‘Ohhh really?!! Everyone leave now Madison you stay!’..Lord Arnold screamed..

‘B..bu..but!!’..Kyra tried to say but gave up and left immediately…

‘Madison you are one cunning lady,the one i can’t wait to get my hands on’..He said and walked over to me smacking his lips…

‘Leave me alone please’..i begged and he laughed bending a sleeve of my dress ..

‘Lord Arnold p…’..i tried to say but was cut short when someone dragged him away…

‘M..m..me??,I..I..I'm pregnant??'..I stuttered loudly...
‘Yes Lady Madison you're carrying the future heir to the throne!!'..Nita replied hugging me..
I'm pregnant??..
I mean I could get pregnant but why now???..
‘The whole palace has to hear this!!?!'..Nita screamed obstructing my thoughts but I held her down to my position..
‘N..Nita no one has to hear about this'..i whispered..
‘Why??,it's good news you know?'..She asked and I sniffed my running nose..
‘No one has to know I'm pregnant Nita,tho news should be only between us,no one should know that I'm pregnant okay??'..I begged and she smiled..
‘Oh okay but can I tell Reeshad??'..
‘Yeah you can tell Reeshad but he shouldn't tell anyone also'..
‘Okay my lady I'm so excited!!!'..she squealed and walked away...

‘Lady Madison is pregnant but you shouldn't tell anyone'..i said..

‘Wait for who??'..i asked with a frown on my face..
‘Don't worry Nita,in few days you'll find out,there's going to be blood shed'..he said and locked the window...
What does he mean by bloodshed??..
What's going to happen in few days??..
I walked back to the palace only to bump into the Royal Assistant that I dread the most..

‘Where are you coming from Nita??'..she asked..

We held each other's gazes and slowly walked apart..

Madison's POV
I changed into a formal dress for the first time in a while and walked down to the dining area for dinner...
Just as I began arranging my hair into strategic places I bumped into Kyra...
‘What are you wearing??'..she asked with her eyes boiling already in anger..
‘Well I'm wearing a dress it's spelt D.R.E.S.S'..I replied in a sarcastic drawl..
‘You?!!!'..she screamed wanting to slap me but Lord Arnold walked in on us..
‘Let her go Kyra,I told her to join us for dinner'..he said .
‘B..but she's a Maid that's an insult Arnold!!!!'..
‘Don't forget that she's the wife of a prince Kyra and you're just a runaway princess and I'm the king so respect yourself,talk to me with respect!!!!'...Lord Arnold screamed...
I just smiled sheepishly and Kyra groaned walking away...
Maybe I could finally use Lord Arnold to my own advantage..

I gulped down the smoked Salmon forcefully sitting opposite the king and....
Oh God i think I'm gonna puke..
‘Excuse me your highness'..I grudgingly said and ran into the nearest bathroom..

I've always loved smoked Salmon so why is it so disgusting to me now??..
Oh cause I'm pregnant..
‘Are you okay??'..Lord Arnold asked as i walked back to the table..
‘Yes your highness as it happens I'm allergic to Salmon,pardon me but I'll like to go back into my room'..i said feeling a little bit woozy from everything..
If i pass out now then he would surely know that I'm pregnant..
‘Ohhh you can be excused then there's no problem'..he replied and I walked away...

I walked into my room after throwing up for the second time and slumped down on the bed..

I saw a letter..
Opened it and it read thus;

I slowly crept out of the palace chambers into the Nile Spring..
I waited to check if anyone was watching me closely and luckily there was none..
Before I could walk any further a hand covered my mouth...
‘Who the hell are you?!!'..i managed to scream..
‘Shhh come with me'..the masked stranger said and dragged me behind a tree..
He removed the mask and it was..
‘Khalid!!!!'...

‘Me??,lick your shoe?!!,No way Kyra!!!'..i screamed in tears...
Two of her personal guards then forcefully pushed me to the ground..
I struggled to free myself but it was too late...
My face was already on Kyra's shoe..
‘Lick it!!'..she screamed and I forced myself to do so...
This wouldn't have happened only if Khalid was around....
I know he's gonna come back and then Arnold and Kyra would suffer for what they're doing to me...
‘There's a heap of fabric at the back Madison,I want you to wash them and they should be sparkling clean'...she said and i stood up cleaning the dirt off my face...
‘This isn't over Kyra,Khalid is going to come back and you will pay dearly'...

‘Let me help you with that Lady Madison'..Nita said taking the mop from my hands...
It's been two weeks straight and Khalid hasn't come back home...
Honestly I'm beginning to have doubts if he truly loves me..
If he truly loves me then he wouldn't leave me like this to suffer...
Luckily Lord or should i say King Arnold let me keep my room and my expensive clothes but I don't bother to wear them anymore...
What's the use of wearing expensive clothes if I'm suffering like a hag..

:How's she faring Reeshad??'..i asked in a whisper..
:She's not faring well one bit,she's really pale and Princess Kyra is really making her suffer,I just wish there's something I could do to help her but the King always sends me on stupid errands'..he replied and I sighed...

:Yeah I know you need more time but if you don't come soon then Kyra would make sure that she's killed or she may suffer from the work given to her!!'..

‘What do you mean by you can't find him?!!'..I screamed at my private investigator...

I walked into my chambers feeling tired and weak..

I smiled reading the letters that King Nepthar or should i say the secret lover sent to me..
This letter was one of the reasons Khalid and i became super close since he was so jealous...
I just miss him so much and i wish he would come back home soon..

‘Bow to your new King everyone,King Arnold Nepthar,the ruler of the great Egyptian empire!!'..Kyra shouted and every maid and guard bowed down in acknowledgement...

‘I'm a servant Lady Madison in case you've forgotten and PK isn't here so I don't have any other choice'..she replied..
‘Bow to your new king Lady Madison'..Lord Arnold said and I laughed..
‘Is this a joke??,the only rightful king I know is my husband Prince Khalid Jeremy Nepthar and he's the only king I'll ever know,you're just a counterfeit'..I said..
Kyra angrily walked over and the next thing I knew _she slapped me...

I watched in tears as the grand Caliphate placed the crown on Lord Arnold's head and saying the following words...

Everyone bowed except me and two guards pushed me to the ground forcefully...
A little bit of blood came out of my mouth and spat it out immediately...
The Grand Caliphate shook his head disgustingly and then I knew that he wasn't happy with the situation...
After a moment Lord or should I say King Arnold opened his mouth and spoke...
‘Now that I am King my first decree is that Lady Madison would be stripped of her title'..he said and everyone gasped...
‘Since her husband desecrated the Holy festival she has to pay the price for his abomination!!!,no maid or guard should address her as ‘Lady' anymore,no one should help her get anything,she would work like a Maid and eat like a maid,all her clothes would be shredded to pieces and she would be given rags to Wear!!!,I have spoken'...
I slumped to the ground in tears and some of the maids present shook their head in pity..
‘You don't deserve this Lady Madison'..Niro,a maid in the palace whispered and I smiled...
‘It's okay Niro,I'll be okay,I know Khalid would come back soon and all will be over'..I replied...
I hope he comes back soon..
Nita's POV
I cried bitterly as Lady Madison removed all her clothes and changed into a simple black dress...
‘You don't deserve this Lady Madison'..I cried and she smiled...
‘You shouldn't address me as Lady anymore,just call me Madison from now on,I'm no longer your princess'..she said but I shook my head...
‘No,you're always my Princess,you'll always be my princess if not for you I would have gotten a death sentence,you're kind,pretty and everyone loves you in the palace'..
‘Yes Lady Madison'..I heard and when I turned around all the Maids and Guards stood around Lady Madison...
This is how people try to help when you're a very kind person...
‘We won't let anyone harm you in this palace Lady Madison,not even the king and we don't Care if we get punished for it'..Reeshad said as he walked in...
Lady Madison cried and motioned for all of us to come together..
‘You guys are more than my servants,you guys are my family'..she muttered and we all hugged....
Kyra's POV
‘i can't believe you're finally King Arnold'..I muttered as I rummaged my hands around the golden throne..
‘Yeah I can't believe I am King now I can finally get back at the people who treated me second to my brother'..he replied and I smiled...
Yeah he's the king all thanks to me...
He's not going to be king for long anyway...
I have great plans for this throne..
He's just a puppet for now...
‘Uhhh Arnold can Madison be my personal Maid,I really want to make her suffer'..I asked..

‘Lady Madison let me help you with that'..Nyra said as she took the basket of fresh mint from my hands..
I smiled and sat down on the kitchen stool...
Even though I'm a regular maid now everyone still treats me with respect...

‘You stood up for me??'..i said with my voice strained over the tears that i shed earlier...
‘Yeah I stood up for you,I love you dammit!!'..Khalid responded and i broke down again...
To be honest I didn't expect that kind of reaction from him..
I can't believe he would protect me like that..
God i love this prince so much...
‘Madison i know you couldn't kill my father,you love him too much to kill him and i know that even if you did i would still forgive you,i love you too much to let you go'..he said and i cried...

I shook the thought of my dead father away and walked into the hospital room where Reeshad was being treated..
Luckily he wasn't in danger anymore thanks to the padding by his left rib...

‘Ohh your highness,don't bother about me I'm sorry that i wasn't there to protect your father'..he said..
‘Nah my father was a good man and he ruled effectively I'm just sad that he died in a painful way well I don't want to think about that I need some information from you'...

I don't know why Khalid is acting so strange but i sure as hell don't like it...
He's really creeping me out..
‘Khalid if you're planning to leave me then don't!!'..i cried out and hugged him from behind..
He laughed and turned over kissing me softly on the lips...
‘i would never leave you Madison,remember that i love you too much,I'll always be with you'..he said but I shook my head..
‘You're acting strange Khalid,just tell me what's going on'..I begged..

At Night
I changed into a blue luminescent gown that Khalid got for me before the Ita festival started..
The festival hasn't ended yet but the Royal family are in their mourning stage so it has been put on hold...
I tried packing my hair into a small bun but it started annoying me..
Sometimes it becomes so full that I don't know what to do with it...
‘Here let me help you'..Khalid said as he stood behind me and brushed my hair,braided it and then rolled it into a bun...
‘Thank you'..i muttered in a shrill voice and he smiled...

‘T..'..i tried so say but he covered my lips with his and carried me up to the bed..

The Next Morning
I tried rolling over to Khalid's side like i always do every morning but he wasn't on the bed...

Where could he be??..
‘PK??'..i called out as i opened the bathroom thinking that he would be in the shower but he wasn't..
Maybe he's downstairs...
‘Have you seen PK Lady Madison,he hasn't come down for breakfast??'..Nita said and I panicked..
‘Khalid isn't in the room Nita and i thought he was with you,where could he have gone???'..i asked..

‘Please help him PK,He's not okay!!'..i cried out as I rested King Nepthar's head on my laps..
‘Reeshad has been shot Khalid Please help him!!!'..Nita cried out...
‘I don't know what to d..do Nita call the ambulance!!'..He screamed and she scurried away..
His eyes were so red and he turned so pale...
The Khalid i know always keeps things under control but now he's lost and there's nothing i can do to help him...
‘Khalid please take it easy'..was all i could say as he paced about angrily..
‘How can you tell me to take it easy Madison,two people are on the bridge of death two dear people to me-one is my father and the other?? My own personal security officer,do you know what that means,I don't know what to do anymore Madison I'm a failed prince'..he cried out..
‘You're not a failed prince Khalid you.....'..i tried to say but Nita ran in screaming...
‘The ambulance is here,everyone leave!!!!'..
Ten minutes later
I sat next to Khalid with the other royal members and together we waited eagerly for the doctor's results....
‘This didn't work out as planned Madison,today was supposed to be a happy day for all of us,for both of us'..he muttered..
I forced my tear back into my eyes and rested his head on my shoulders..
‘It's not your fault PK,it's no ones fault,please don't cry please be okay just for me,you have to be strong for your kingdom okay??'..i said..
‘Okay'..he replied and sighed deeply..
Ever since i knew him He's never been so vulnerable like this before...
He's always the strong prince that always has a hand to help but now he needs my help..
‘I love you Khalid,i don't know how saying it would make you feel better but I love you'..I whispered and kissed his forehead..

‘Okay is no one going to question what happened a while ago?!!!'..Lord Arnold screamed and i sighed deeply..
Here he goes again with his tantrum..
‘Please Uncle Arnold my father is in the emergency section and fighting for his life,this isn't the time for this'..Khalid said and he sneered..
‘Ohh I know PK but Reeshad was shot and your father slumped to the ground with blood coming out of his mouth,don't you think there's a conspiracy??'..he replied..
Before Khalid could say anything else the doctor came in....
‘Doctor how is Reeshad and my father??'..He asked and the doctor sighed...
‘We were able to save Reeshad'..
‘Uh huh?'..
‘I'm sorry Prince Khalid,the King is dead'..
Khalid's POV

I entered the car and the driver took Madison and I home....

Just sat there in silence and wallowing in our own pain..
Ten minutes later
‘How's Dad PK??'..Lai asked as i walked inside the house and I shuddered..
‘You're a man Lai,I want you to be strong'..i said resting my hands on his shoulder but he slapped it off..
‘How's Dad PK,I don't care about strength,how's Dad?!!'..he screamed
‘Dad is gone!!!'..i replied and walked
Inside my room without waiting to see his reaction...
‘Khalid please calm down'..Madison muttered and I winced loudly..
‘For crying out loud no one should please tell me to calm down,don't tell me to calm down Madison!!!!,my father is gone Madison so please don't tell me to calm down,i don't want to calm down my father is dead!!!'..i cried out and she hugged me forcefully...
‘It's okay,i know you're angry,hurt and tired of everything,please Khalid we'll go through this together!!!'..she said and i smiled...
‘Thanks Madison'..I said and before i could hug her I began hearing screams from outside..
What's the problem this time?!!!...
Madison's POV
Khalid and i ran out from our room to go outside the chamber only to see Lord Arnold and Princess Kyra...
With the POLICE!!!..
‘What's the meaning of this??'..Khalid asked and Kyra snickered..
‘Your father was poisoned Khalid'..she said..
‘HUH?!!!..That's a lie there's no way my father was poisoned,right Madison??,Madison was the only one that gave him a drink'..he replied and Kyra smiled again...
Oh i don't like where this is going one bit...

‘Did you guys think I'm stupid!!!,did you guys really think that the woman i love would kill my own father?!!,Are you guys sick or what?!,Madison would never hurt a fly not to talk of my Dad,Madison loved my dad more than herself so all you guys are saying is bullsh*t!!!,fine my Dad was poisoned and she gave him the drink but it still doesn't mean that she killed him,i was there when she gave him the drink so please leave the both of us alone and let's mourn in peace,Leave my wife alone cause she's done nothing wrong!!!!'...
