Ever noticed how the hardest part of consistency isn’t laziness

it’s showing up when nobody is clapping for you.

No likes.
No validation.

Just you and the decision to keep going anyway.

Right now, I’m in the middle of my ghostwriting training and honestly,it’s not always exciting.

Some days, ideas flow.

Other days, I stare blankly wondering if I’m even improving.

But I’ve realized something,
Consistency is not about feeling motivated.

It’s about building trust with yourself.

Because every time you show up even when it’s hard, you’re quietly becoming someone people can rely on.

Including yourself.

So today, I showed up again.

What’s something you’re staying consistent with right now?

Drop it in the comment section.

Consistency is not about having the best content.

It’s about showing up even when it’s not perfect.

Right now, I’m still learning, still improving, still figuring things out…

But I’ve decided not to stay silent while I grow.

Because growth doesn’t happen in hiding.

So if you’re waiting to be ā€œfully readyā€ before you start

this is your sign to begin anyway.
We’ll figure it out as we go. šŸš€

Day 5 of my Ghostwriting Training made me realize something simple but deep:

Some stories are not told, they survived first.

On day 5 of my ghostwriting training, I was tasked to interview and write a biography of someone.
I chose Mr. Shehu. A man who experienced loss after loss, rejection after rejection and still kept building his life.

He lost siblings, his father and faced financial struggle and personal experiences… yet he didn’t stop pushing.

What stood out for me most is how ordinary persistence can turn into an extraordinary life over time.

This is what ghostwriting is teaching me not just how to write stories but how to understand the journey behind them.

And I’m learning one story at a time.00

Early this morning started like every other… until it didn’t šŸ˜…

My neighbour came to pick the ponmo she asked me to soak overnight (yes, I sell original dried ponmo Ijebu šŸ˜‰).
While we were talking, we somehow entered a full discussion about how stubborn yam has become these days, the kind that refuses to get soft (ko tu).

I was already dressed for school, just about to apply my moisturiser. I even had it in my hand.

But in the middle of explaining my own ā€œyam experienceā€ I picked up a knife, cut a piece to show her and completely forgot what yam can do to your skin

Fast forward to after my neighbour left

I casually go ahead and apply my moisturiser on the same hands that just touched raw yam.

My people… chaos

Within minutes, I was scratching like my life depended on it. Face, neck, everywhere!

I was already late, but I had to pull off my clothes and run back to the bathroom.
I had another bath but I was still scratching.

That was when my sister said Go and rub palm oil.

Tell me why I ended up going to school with my face properly marinated in palm oil like Stew šŸ˜‚

But honestly, it worked minutes later

That made me realize Palm oil is an unexpected skincare hero ✨

Now here’s the thing…

Moments like this remind me why I’m enjoying my ghostwriting training.

Because the simplest, most random life experiences like this chaotic morning can turn into stories that make people laugh, relate, and engage.

I’m currently learning how to take everyday moments and turn them into writing pthat connects.

So tell me… have you ever experienced that crazy itchiness from yam touching your skin? šŸ˜…

What shapes a woman’s decision to never depend on anyone?

Not advice. Not opinions.
But what she lived through.

On Day 4 of my Ghostwriting Training, I was tasked to create a mini client profile for a storytelling project and this one stayed with me.

Meet Rufaydah.

She grew up in a large family where her father was respected in the community. But behind closed doors, she witnessed marriages strained by neglect. Women left to survive without financial support.

That contrast didn’t just hurt.
It shaped her.

Her story carries a depth similar to ā€œEchoes of Her Fatherā€ by Ma’am Lajfingers where a father’s influence leaves lasting imprints on a daughter’s life choices.

Now, she wants to tell a story many women quietly live but rarely say out loud

What it means to grow up watching instability and choosing a different path.

A story about:
• Choosing independence intentionally
• Healing from what she witnessed
• Refusing to enter marriage unprepared
• Turning pain into purpose

But like many people with powerful stories… she doesn’t know how to begin.

That’s where I come in.

Through my training, I’m learning that ghostwriting goes beyond writing, it’s about listening, understanding, and shaping real-life experiences into stories that resonate and inspire.

I’m still building, still learning, still refining this skill.

And soon, I’ll be opening up for storytelling projects.

If you have a story in your heart but don’t know how to tell it…

I’m preparing for you.

If you think ghostwriting is just *writing for someone else,* you’re missing the real work.

Day 3 of my Ghostwriting Training shifted my mindset from just writing to thinking like a professional who understands the why behind every project.

Because the truth is you can’t write a powerful book for a client you don’t fully understand.

So for this task, I created a Client Discovery Questionnaire for aspiring authors. The kind that helps uncover not just ideas, but direction.

Here’s what I came up with šŸ‘‡

1- Why do you want to write this book and why now?

2- Do you have a central message?

3- Who is your target audience?

4- Is this book part of a bigger plan?

5- What’s your publishing route? (traditional or self-publishing?)

6- Have you started writing yet?

7- When do you want it published?

8- Do you have a budget for design, editing, and promotion?

Thinking of writing a book? This is where it begins.

Great ghostwriting isn’t guesswork, it’s strategy.

I’m currently in training, sharpening these skills and preparing to work with authors who are ready to bring their ideas to life.

If you’d like to be one of my first clients when I open for projects, feel free to send me a message.

Can you tell when a writer truly understands your voice… or when they’re just guessing? šŸ¤”

That’s the difference between writing and ghostwriting.

On the second day of my Ghostwriting Training, we focused on mastering one of the most important skills in this field adapting to a client’s voice.

So here’s a little proof of work šŸ‘‡
I was tasked to write in the voice of a public figure I admire.

Guess who I chose ? šŸ‘€

DAY 2 TASK | 16TH APRIL, 2026

Sheikh Sulaiman Muh. Awwal AMUBIEYA

Place your heart wherever you wish
There's no true love except with the first love.

How many houses has man lived in this life
But his longing is always with the first house.

First love has a very special place in the heart such that it cannot be forgotten nor erased nor compared to any other.

For example, May Allah prevent us from such calamity, if a woman were to lose her spouse and got remarried, no matter how well the new spouse tries, he cannot just measure up to her first husband.

The same way if someone were to live in many apartments as a result of moving and finally get to a very modern house, their mind will always flash back to the first family house they lived in because of the memories created in that house .

If a person who used to be poor and has a way of eating before Allah blesses such a person, starts trying different delicacies, they will still find joy in those local foods they used to eat while they were growing up or while they were not well off.

This poem generally is explaining to us that no matter where we find ourselves in this life, our hearts will always be attached to and long for the first place we ever lived or the first person we ever loved.

If you're a brand, leader or creator who wants your ideas expressed in your exact voice not a generic one, this is the kind of work I’m building towards.

On the first day of my ghostwriting training, I was given a simple but powerful task:

Share why I joined, what excites me about ghostwriting, and which area I feel most drawn to.

It made me reflect more deeply than I expected.

Curious what I wrote? Here it is: šŸ‘‡

I joined this ghostwriting training because I’ve always loved writing and wanted to get better at it.

Back in secondary school, I took part in essay competitions and often came out on top even though I was a science student. I’ve always had a strong interest in English and Literature, and I naturally have so many ideas and imagination.

But I realized having ideas isn’t enough if you lack the confidence to express them clearly.

That’s one of the main reasons I decided to take this training.

What excites me most about ghostwriting is the chance to grow into a writer who can confidently produce professional, well-structured work. I look forward to the day I can read something I’ve written and feel proud of it.

I’m also inspired by the process of refining written content something I’ve watched an editor friend of mine do so well. Seeing that made me realize this is a skill I truly want to develop.

And yes, I’m looking forward to earning from something I genuinely enjoy.

As for specialization, I feel drawn to storytelling, biography, and e-book writing. I’m especially interested in biography and e-books, but I’m still exploring and open to guidance as I grow.

My coach’s feedback:
..Very promising future in this careerā€¦ā€

That meant a lot and it was only Day 1. 🤭

I’m documenting this journey as I become a professional ghostwriter.✨

I just discovered something about writing… and I’m so shocked 😲😱

People actually get paid to write for others quietly, behind the scenes.

No spotlight. Just skill plus strategy.

I just stepped into that world… and it’s already changing how I think.

If you’re curious, see what I mean šŸ‘‡
