Let's Talk about
Syncope is the medical term for fainting. It happens when there's a temporary loss of consciousness due to a sudden decrease in blood flow to the brain. Syncope can be caused by a number of different things, including dehydration, low blood pressure, or even standing up too quickly.
In some cases, it can also be caused by a heart problem or a neurological condition. When someone has syncope, they may suddenly feel lightheaded, weak, or dizzy, and then they may lose consciousness for a brief period of time.
