Condolence Message
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
With profound grief and complete submission to the will of Allah (SWT), Islamic Secondary School, Mangu mourns the passing of our cherished former student, Maryam Abdullahi (Set 2022), who returned to her Lord yesterday.
This painful loss has brought deep sorrow to the entire school community. Maryam’s time in our school remains warmly remembered by her teachers, classmates, and friends, who will continue to keep her in their prayers.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her parents and family, the staff and students of the school, all alumni, and the entire Mangu community over this great and irreplaceable loss.
We pray that Allah (SWT), in His mercy, forgives her shortcomings, grants her eternal rest, and admits her into Jannatul Firdaus. May He also grant her family, relatives, staff, students, and all who mourn her the patience and strength to bear this painful separation.
“Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.” (Qur’an 2:156)

Official Communiqué of the Board Meeting — Islamic Secondary School, Mangu
At precisely 11:38 a.m., the Governing Board of Islamic Secondary School, Mangu convened an extraordinary session of solemn significance to commemorate the demise and enduring legacy of the late Mallam Uba. The atmosphere of the meeting was marked by profound grief, reverence, and reflective contemplation as members gathered to pay homage to a man whose life was emblematic of humility, dedication, and institutional loyalty.
The proceedings commenced with an eloquent recapitulation of Mallam Uba’s meritorious years of service to the school. It was recollected that on several occasions he was considered eminently qualified for the position of Principal. However, in a remarkable display of modesty and self-effacement, he voluntarily relinquished such prospects, advocating instead that the mantle of leadership be entrusted to an individual he deemed more capable for the advancement of the institution. This singular act of selflessness was highlighted as a testament to his character and his unwavering commitment to the collective progress of the school.
In the course of deliberations, the Board resolved to confer a temporary administrative appointment upon Mr. Chantu to ensure continuity in the day-to-day management of the school pending further resolutions. Issues pertaining to financial receipts, documentation, and administrative accountability were meticulously examined to guarantee transparency, procedural integrity, and effective record-keeping. The Director of Studies (DS), being an integral member of the Board, participated actively in the discourse.
The meeting culminated in fervent prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Vice Principal, invoking Allah’s boundless mercy and forgiveness upon him. The Board also supplicated for divine guidance, unity, and resilience for the entire school community during this period of bereavement.
In conclusion, the Board collectively acknowledged the indelible imprint left by Mallam Uba and reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to upholding the principles of integrity, sacrifice, and devoted service which he personified throughout his lifetime.

Islamic Secondary School Mangu – Set 2014
Today, 8/4/2026, members of our noble set paid a compassionate visit to Mallam Uba Sa’id at his residence following his recent health challenges. The visit was led by the Chairman of the set, accompanied by the Vice Chairman, the Treasurer of the set, and a dedicated member—reflecting the unity, care, and brotherhood that define us.
During the visit, heartfelt prayers were offered, asking Allah (SWT) to grant him quick and complete recovery, restore his strength, and ease him from every discomfort. As a show of support and solidarity, the set presented a donation of ₦20,000 to assist with his medical needs.
We sincerely appreciate everyone who made this thoughtful visit possible. Such acts of kindness strengthen our bond and remind us of the values our school instilled in us—compassion, unity, and responsibility toward one another.

Alhamdulillah!
Today, 12th March 2026, I had the great privilege of witnessing the closing Tafsir of this year’s Ramadan delivered by Mallam Sirajo Usman in Dalang, Gindiri, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
It was a spiritually uplifting and enlightening gathering where the words of the Qur’an were beautifully explained, reminding us about faith, patience, unity, and devotion to Allah. Such moments strengthen our iman and renew our commitment to live according to the teachings of Islam.
May Allah (SWT) accept our ibadah, forgive our shortcomings, and reward all those who participated and contributed to the success of this blessed Tafsir. May He continue to bless the knowledge of Mallam Sirajo Usman and grant him long life, good health, and the strength to keep guiding the Ummah.
May Allah make us among those who listen to beneficial knowledge and act upon it. May He allow us to witness many more Ramadans in good faith and sound health.
