Police Officer Allegedly Commits Su***de in Port Harcourt

Tragedy struck in the Eagle Island area of Port Harcourt in the early hours of Tuesday, April 22, 2025, as Inspector Maxwell Zabu, a serving police officer, reportedly took his own life.

According to Dez Mayorz News, Zabu, who was known to many as a dedicated officer, allegedly shot himself in his room under circumstances that remain unclear. Until his death, he served as an orderly and close aide to Hon. Victor Ihunwo, the former Mayor of Port Harcourt.

Sources say Hon. Ihunwo treated Inspector Zabu like a dear brother, a bond that remained strong even after the mayor left office. Zabu was well-regarded by his colleagues and community, with many expressing shock and sorrow over the incident.

As of the time of filing this report, the Rivers State Police Command is yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.

Suspected yahoo boy arrested for allegedly k and sla¥ght£ring his UNIPORT girlfriend in Rivers State

A man identified as Collins has been arrested for k his girlfriend identified as Justina along Road 15, NTA Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

It was gathered that Collins was caught by his estate’s security personnel when he was trying to dispose her co**se after sla¥ghtering her and extråcting her eyes and br+asts.

Following the alarm raised by the security personnel, eyewitnesses stormed the suspect’s apartment and found Justina’s sla¥ghtered body parts in sacks dripping with bl%od.

He was whisked to the police station while the deceased’s body parts were taken to the morgue. It is reported that Justina was a 300-level University of Port Harcourt student before her premature demise.
