Let me give you a little gist Abi Story time 🌚
A while back, a client outta Abuja asked me to help source 1kg of a local condiment we didn’t stock at Toria Spices. She already got some spices from us and wanted us to help send everything together. I was excited to help cos we understand that the little moments counts and intention is at the centre of what we represent especially because it meant supporting a fellow female entrepreneur. Everything felt aligned 🥰
But when the package arrived… it was dirty in a ziplock bag, inside a black nylon.
I sent a voice note not out of complaint, but from a place of “we can do better as business owners.” The response? No apologies
I was simply referred back to her page …hmmm!
And in that moment, something clicked for me.
Sometimes, it’s not about the product.
It’s about how much thought you put into the person receiving it.
Fast forward to this order.
A dear client said she wanted 1kg of fenugreek seeds and she followed through (we love to see it 👏🏽). But here’s the twist: we had run out of our 1kg pouch.
Now, we could have “managed” it.
We could have improvised in a way that just gets the job done.
But that didn’t sit right with us. My husband even said it’s better to pack in 2 separate pouches.
So we packed it in two properly sealed 500g pouches clean, neat, intentional. Because the experience should always match the promise, no matter the situation.
I know fellow business owners will get this:
It’s the little things. The extra thought. The “no one may notice, but I know” decisions.
That’s the real brand.
