We often think โ€œsustainable cookingโ€ means
organic ingredients, zero waste, homemade everything.

But for mums running a home, a business, and everything in betweenโ€”
that version is not sustainable.

Sustainable cooking is about consistency you can actually keep that will eventually make cooking less stressful and reduce mental loadโ€ฆ

Your family doesnโ€™t need 30 different menus.
Have 5โ€“7 go-to meals and rotate.
Less thinking = less burnout.

Donโ€™t ask yourself โ€œwhat to cook?โ€ every day.
Assign themes like:
Mon (chicken),
Tue (soup),
Wed (simple stir fry) and etcโ€ฆ
Youโ€™re not limiting yourselfโ€”youโ€™re freeing your mind.

Not every meal needs to be from scratch.
A balanced meal > a perfect meal.
A good enough meal can be just a simple sandwiches or one pot meals.
This is how you stay consistent long term.

This is the most underrated system.
Frozen, ready-to-cook, or simple standby meals can be a life saviour on days that is rushing. Still home cook and better than take-outs.

Sustainable cooking is not about being a โ€œbetter mum.โ€
Itโ€™s about building a system that supports youโ€ฆ
so you can show up, day after day, without burning out.

Juggling a home-based business and family sometimes isnโ€™t as glamorous as what itโ€™s supposed to beโ€ฆ

This could be
โ€ฆ waking up at 4am to fulfill customersโ€™ orders
โ€ฆ prepping ingredients in between school runs
โ€ฆ replying messages while cooking dinner for the kids
โ€ฆ packing orders late at night after everyone goes to bed
โ€ฆ and still showing up the next day to do it all over again

Behind every order is not just a transaction โ€”
itโ€™s time, energy, and a lot of heart poured into making sure the food that reaches you is something I would confidently serve my own family.

Thatโ€™s why sometimes, it takes a little more time.

And to those who choose to wait, who choose to understand, and who continue to support us despite the slower paceโ€ฆ
thank you. Truly.

Your patience allows this small, home-based business to keep goingโ€ฆ sustainably, intentionally, and with care.โค๏ธ

โ€œStop asking this question: why didnโ€™t you cook for your children?

Being a mum is already a full-time job.
And cooking? Thatโ€™s another full-time job on its own.

Because cooking is never just cooking.

Itโ€™s the mental load:
โ€“ What to cook (3 times a day)
โ€“ Is it healthy enough?
โ€“ Will the kids eat it?
โ€“ Whatโ€™s left in the fridge?
โ€“ What needs to be bought?

And all this happens while youโ€™re juggling everything else in life.

So when someone asks,
โ€œWhy didnโ€™t you cook?โ€

Theyโ€™re missing the point.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Cooking is constant decision-making.
๐Ÿ‘‰ And decision fatigue is real.

A mum who doesnโ€™t cook today is not lazy.
Sheโ€™s managing her energy.
Sheโ€™s protecting her mental load.

Because what kids need most isnโ€™t a perfect mealโ€”
itโ€™s a present, regulated mum.

Feeding our kids shouldnโ€™t come at the cost of losing ourselves.

A lot of food brands say:

โ€œNo MSG.โ€

But for me, it was never meant to be a marketing line.

It was a decision I made as a mumโ€ฆ

When I started cooking for my children, I realised something very simple:

Childrenโ€™s taste buds are shaped by what we feed them in every meals.

If everything is heavily seasoned or overly flavourful, their palate slowly forgets what real food tastes like.

Vegetables taste โ€œblandโ€.
Home cooking becomes โ€œboringโ€.
Natural flavours become โ€œnot enoughโ€.

So when I started Growing Upz, I kept one principle very clear:

Not just โ€œNo MSGโ€.

But food that helps children learn to enjoy the natural taste of ingredients with minimal seasonings.

Less masking.
Less shortcuts.
More real flavour.

Because what we feed our kids today shapes what they will choose to eat tomorrow.

What are the food habits that you are trying to build with your children?

When I left the corporate world, my KPI completely changed.

Before that, my KPI looked like this:

Sales targets.
Meetings.
Project deadlines.

Now the KPI looks very different.

Did families manage to get dinner on the table today?

Did a busy parent have one less thing to worry about?

Did a child still get a warm meal after a long day at school?

Itโ€™s a quieter KPI.

But in many ways, it feels far more meaningful.

Because behind every plate of foodโ€ฆ

there is a parent trying their best.

And if GrowingUpz can help make that a little easier, then the work is worth it.

If you would like to know more about how GrowingUpz can reduce a few decision fatigue during meal times, DM us now. ๐Ÿ˜Š

It was already 4.30pm on a normal weekday.

One child was asking for help with homework.
Another was telling me a story about what happened in school.

The kitchen was quiet, yet my mind was already running through the usual questions:

โ€œWhat should we eat tonight?โ€
โ€œWhich vegetable in the fridge is about to wilt?โ€

Not the exciting โ€œletโ€™s cook something specialโ€ kind of questionโ€ฆ

More like the everyday challenges that many parents know very well.

What is fast enough to prepare?
What is healthy enough to serve โ€” and something everyone will actually eat?
How much should I cook to make sure itโ€™s enough without over- or under-cooking?

Sometimes people imagine that Iโ€™m always making beautiful, Instagram-worthy dishes.

The truth is often much simpler.

Most days, the meals look like this:

Something warm.
Something balanced with protein, carbs, and vegetables.
Something that allows everyone to sit down together without too much stress.

Over time, I started to realise something.

Feeding a family is less about cooking impressive meals, and more about building a system that works on normal days.

Because normal days are the days our children will remember the most โ€” the routines, the quiet dinners, the feeling of everyone being at the table.

This realisation slowly shaped the way I run my own kitchen, and eventually how I started preparing food for other families too.

What began as a way to make my own evenings a little calmer slowly became GrowingUpz.

Not a fancy idea.

Just a simple belief that sometimes families donโ€™t need more recipes.

They just need a little support behind the scenes so dinner can still happen โ€” even on the busiest days. ๐ŸŒฑ

Now this has become my KPI since I left the corporate world.

No more sales targets.
No more meetings.
No more project deadlines.

Instead, there is a quieter KPI โ€” feeding families.

Because people often see the plate of food.

What they donโ€™t see are the thousands of small decisions behind it.

22/02/2026

There was a season in my life where I felt invisible.

I left corporate.
I became a stay-at-home mum.
And somewhere between school runs and grocery listsโ€ฆ I lost parts of myself.

But in that quiet season, something powerful was growing within me without me realising itโ€ฆ

Every day, I stood in my kitchen asking one simple question:
Why is it so hard to feed our families well?

Why does convenience mean compromise?
Why are busy parents forced to choose between speed and nutrition?

So I stopped waiting for a better option.
Thus, I built one for my own family.

GrowingUpz was born from my own dining table.
From the meals I cooked for my children, and not for my customers initiallyโ€ฆ

After series or chicken chop and chicken breastโ€ฆ I have finally came out with a series of dishes that I eat growing up from my mum and grandmaโ€™s kitchenโ€ฆ

Here you goโ€ฆ the my new babies in GrowingUpz
โค๏ธLotus Root Peanuts Chicken.
โค๏ธSesame Oil Chicken.
โค๏ธAlfredo Chicken.
โค๏ธMinced Chicken Bolognese.
โค๏ธChicken Dumplings.

All the dishes are strictly
๐Ÿ€No MSG.
๐Ÿ€No additives.
๐Ÿ€No preservatives.

Just real ingredients. Thoughtfully prepared. Frozen at their bestโ€ฆ
โ€ฆ most important ready in 10 mins from your kitchen to dining table.

This is not just frozen food.
This is infrastructure for modern busy families.

Because when mothers are supported, families are strongerโ€ฆ
And when families are stronger, communities changeโ€ฆ

GrowingUpz is my quiet answer to a loud, fast world.
And if you have ever felt stretched thin trying to do it allโ€ฆ this is definitely built for you to bring back your sanity.

DM to order nowโ€ฆ

As a mum, Chinese New Year hits differently.
Itโ€™s no longer just about celebrations โ€”
Itโ€™s about what we place on the table for the people we love most.

At GrowingUpz, we believe festive food can still be real food.
No shortcuts. No unnecessary additives. Just honest ingredients.

This Lunar New Year,
may your children grow strong,
may your family grow closer,
and may your table always be full. ๐Ÿงก

I didnโ€™t plan to become a food founder.

I left corporate to become a stay-at-home mom โ€”
and in that transition, I experienced something many women donโ€™t talk about openly:

The quiet loss of identity. This is the killing part for a person who once standing high in the corporate hierarchy.

For years, I was known for performance, targets, structure.
Suddenly, my world became nap schedules, school runs, and lunchboxes.

And somewhere between chopping ginger and packing meals,
I asked myself a simple but defining question:

If I am feeding my children three times a day โ€” what am I really feeding them?

Not just calories.
Not just convenience.
But values. Standards. Health. Care.

Iโ€™ve always been health-conscious.
I read labels. I question ingredients.
I believe growing bodies deserve real food โ€” not shortcuts disguised as solutions.

So I started cooking differently.
Cleaner. Simpler. More intentional.

What surprised me was this:
Other parents were struggling with the same tension.

They cared deeply.
But they were tired. Busy. Overextended.

They didnโ€™t lack love.
They lacked time.

Thatโ€™s when GrowingUpz was born.

Not from ambition โ€”
but from alignment.

If I was already holding a high standard for my own children,
why shouldnโ€™t other families have access to that same standard?

GrowingUpz is built on one principle:

Convenience should never require compromise.

Every pack we produce reflects the same decision I make daily as a mother โ€”
Would I serve this to my own child?

If the answer isnโ€™t yes, it doesnโ€™t leave my kitchen.

I may have stepped away from corporate titles,
but I didnโ€™t lose my identity.

I rebuilt it โ€”
with purpose, with intention, and with food that truly supports growing lives.

Built by mom.
For growing kids. ๐Ÿ’š
