ORIENT MARKET is a supermarket which includes both local and international food and is combined to a home improvement superstore. We are recruiting dynamic, highly motivated, and multi-cultural individuals to join our team as our business is growing.

VACANCY

- Purchase Assistant (Asian food knowledge requested)
The main duties are mainly but not only, sourcing and selecting new items from abroad, communicating with suppliers and handling price negotiations, and also co-ordinating transportation.

- Shelf Stacker (Asian food knowledge is highly preferred)
The main duties are mainly but not only, filling and display shelves with the products accordingly, repositioning products, and keeping the displays and shelves clean & tidy.

- Fresh Produce Assistant (Knowledge of Asian fruit and vegetable storage is preferred)
The main duties are mainly but not only, maintenance vegetable and fruit sanitation & display, daily quality inspections, handle perishable goods, report supplier quality issues to purchase team.

- Warehouse Keeper (Asian food knowledge requested)
The main duties are mainly but not only, assistance warehouse daily operations, check and receive goods, loading/unloading goods, order processing.

- Delivery Person (Asian food knowledge is highly preferred)
The main duties are mainly but not only, loading/unloading goods, execute secure deliveries, checking and archive proofs, conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections.

- Cashier (Knowledge in POS systems is highly required)
The main duties are mainly but not only, assisting customers with purchases, be responsible for processing payments, issuing receipts to customers, and also be responsible for the cash flow.

REQUIREMENTS

- Self-motivation and ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision.
- Having related position experience will be a priority.
- Willing to work in rostered shifts, the first shift will start at 6.00am and afternoon shift will finish at 00:00am.
- The company will arrange the work location in Gzira, Sliema, or Marsaskala based on the principle of proximity to the employee's residence. In case the management decides to schedule an employee in an other location when needed, employees have to obey the company’s arrangements.
