As demand has grown a partnership has developed with local villagers to provide fresh, butchered to order, quail alongside free ranging countryside chickens, ducks, geese, pigeon and turkey (subject to availability). As there are more and more food scares, both nationally and internationally, the trend to buy direct from farmers is the strongest it has been for years. Animals from the co-operative

are all free ranging and mostly have a foraging diet, supplemented by rice and quality chicken grains. No hormones or chemicals are given to any animals, except vaccinations for Newcastle disease when young chicks.
