Emurua Dikirr AGC has had an amazing journey of resilience. The prayer for groundbreaking was done by the Late Rev. Zakayo Arap Sonoiya in 1991. The church started here 50 years ago in 1972 under a tree. It has not been an easy journey.

The four acre land was bought from a Mzee known as Arap Kilach, who needed a blanket from Rev. Timothy Koech. So the price was a blanket and Kshs. 150. You heard me right, a blanket and Kshs. 150. It was not easy to get that money and so Arap Kilach came every Sunday to wait for the offerings which if you had a good Sunday was Kshs. 10.

There were Sundays when an offering song and prayer would be made but there was nothing that came to the offering plate. Amazingly, Arap Kilach always understood.

The beauty of the church is in loving and sacrificial leaders and members. The favor of God is here in TransMara. The church at the moment is under the able stewardship of Area Director Rev. Cosmas Rotich. His chronological predecessors are retired Rev. Fredrick Langat, Pr. Paul Keter(Now based in Oldoinyo-nyokie mission field in Kajiado) and retired Rev Timothy Koech. The fire of the gospel continues. Amen!
