𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘: Thomas Partey has joined Villarreal. He's signed a two-year contract until 2027.

𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘: Besiktas have signed Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City for a fee close to £9M.

𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘: Burnley have confirmed the signing of Martin Dubravka from Newcastle United. He's signed a one-year contract.

𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘: Giovanni Simeone has joined Torino on an initial loan deal from Napoli. For a loan fee of €1M + an obligation to buy for €6M.

𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘: Blackpool have signed forward Dale Taylor from Nottingham Forest. For a fee close to £1M. He's signed a four-year deal.

𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘: Ipswich have signed Jens Cajuste from Napoli on a season-long loan.

𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗘: Birmingham City have signed German international forward Marvin Ducksch from Werder Bremen. For a fee of around €2M. He's signed a three-year deal.

Estêvão Willian will wear the number 41 shirt at Chelsea. He will not be leaving on loan this summer and is part of Enzo Maresca's first-team plans at Chelsea.

Jamie Gittens will wear the number 11 shirt at Chelsea.

Iñigo Martínez to Al-Nassr is a done deal. He will sign a two-year contract with an option for further one year contract.

West Ham striker Michail Antonio has left the club following the expiry of his contract. He is now a free agent.

Liverpool are considering a move for Brentford's Yoane Wissa if they fail in their bid to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

Alexander Isak will Not play for Newcastle in pre-season this weekend.

Al-Nassr have stepped up their pursuit of Yoane Wissa and will rival Newcastle for the Brentford striker.

West Ham have agreed a deal with Leicester to sign Mads Hermansen. For a fee of £18M.

Leeds and West Ham have expressed an interest in Liverpool winger Ben Doak. Ipswich and Crystal Palace both bid £20M for him in January but Liverpool rejected.

Man United's data analysis of Bryan Mbeumo indicate they have signed the closest thing to Mo Salah.

🔴 AMORIM’S ATTACKING BLUEPRINT

Why is Manchester United chasing a new center-forward, and why Benjamin Sesko specifically? And why splash more cash on a striker after already investing heavily in forwards?

Amorim’s vision for his attacking system is crystal clear.

In the first phase of possession, he wants to lure the opposition into pressing central zones. From there, United can:

a> circulate the ball around the press, feeding it into wide areas or half-spaces to advance, or

b> bypass the press with a direct ball to the center-forward, or

c> break through via 1v1s, third-man runs, rotations, or combination play.

For option a), at least one of the No. 10s will constantly drop deep, receiving under intense pressure.

This is why Amorim is eyeing players like Mbeumo and Cunha—capable of operating as true 10s in the second phase while shifting into inside forwards later.

Amorim has evidently concluded that Garnacho, Antony, and Sancho don’t fit this mold [though Mount, Amad, and Bruno do].

For option b), the center-forward must excel at receiving with a defender tight on their back, control the ball flawlessly, pick out a smart pass, and then charge into the box.

Amorim’s assessment? Neither Hojlund nor Zirkzee can execute this role at the required level, so an upgrade is non-negotiable.

Option b) is critical: the threat of going long forces opponents to hesitate when pressing high, creating more time and space to construct attacks.

Without a credible direct option, build-up play and progression stall. Without the threat of option b), the primary approach loses its edge.

That’s why Amorim is hunting for a physical center-forward who can dominate aerial battles, secure long balls under pressure, distribute cleanly, and pose a constant danger in the box.

It’s a tall order, especially in the Premier League.....
