πΏ DID YOU KNOW THESE 3 PLANTS EACH BRING SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO YOUR TEA CUP? π΅
Sometimes, learning about everyday plants starts right in your own kitchen!
Today, we're bringing together three familiar plants: lemongrass, sage and spearmint. Each has its own aroma, flavour and interesting traditional uses.
π 1. Lemongrass
Known for its fresh, citrus-like aroma, lemongrass adds a bright, refreshing flavour to tea. It is enjoyed in different food and beverage traditions around the world.
π± 2. Sage
Sage has a distinctive earthy aroma and contains naturally occurring plant compounds that researchers continue to study. It has also been used traditionally in different cultures.
π 3. Spearmint
With its fresh, minty taste, spearmint makes a lovely addition to a warm infusion. Its characteristic aroma comes partly from naturally occurring compounds such as carvone.
β WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU COMBINE THEM?
You get an aromatic infusion with a combination of citrusy, earthy and minty notes. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore plant flavours and make your tea routine more interesting.
Remember, natural does not automatically mean safe for everyone. These plants are not a guaranteed treatment for any disease, and concentrated preparations may have different risks from ordinary tea. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition, check with a qualified healthcare professional before using medicinal amounts.
