For software you can install that is all Open Source so free to use.
Video Editing: ShotCut or OpenShot
Photoshop alter alternative: GIMP
Illustrator alternative: Inkscape
Drawing: Krita
3D graphics: Blender
CAD design: FreeCAD
Video Encoding: Handbrake or VLC
Office Suite compatible with Microsoft Office: LibreOffice.
The great thing about all this software is it’s installed on your computer not running on someone else’s server. No requirement to create an account, share your details, be worried about the site shutting down and losing all your documents.
Also, they’re all available on multiple platforms so if you’re on Windows 10 and concerned about Microsoft stopping support for it in October and if your computer is still fast enough for what you do but isn’t supported by Windows 11 then it is worth checking something like Linux Mint.
Again it’s free and all these programs run on it and if your computer is less than 10 years old then it will run great.
It will also run all the website you like as well.
To me running things in a browser is never as fast as running on the computer.
Web browsers and web development Frameworks are very heavy these days so running any complex program in a browser will never be optimal.
