The West African lungfish is an incredible creature known for its ability to endure harsh conditions. This fish can go for as long as three years without eating or drinking water. When the rivers they live in dry up, the lungfish doesn’t panic. Instead, it has a special trick to help it survive.

When the water disappears, the lungfish digs itself into the mud. Once it is buried, it creates a protective cocoon made of mucus around its body. This cocoon serves as a safe space that allows the lungfish to breathe while it waits for the water to return. This adaptation shows how well the lungfish can manage tough situations and makes it one of the toughest survivors in nature.

Overall, the West African lungfish is a remarkable example of survival in the wild. Its ability to live for years without food or water, along with its clever hiding technique, highlights the amazing ways animals can adapt to their environments. This fish proves that life can thrive even in the most challenging conditions.

1960వ దశకంలో హరిత విప్లవం పేరిట విదేశాల నుంచి తెప్పించిన కొత్త వంగడాలను భారతదేశంలో ప్రవేశపెట్టారు అమెరికన్లు. తీవ్ర కరువుకు ఇవి విరుగుడు అని మొదట్లో చెప్పి, అధిక దిగుబడి వంగడాలని తదుపరి ప్రకటించి మొత్తానికి వ్యవసాయంలో ప్రపంచానికే నాయకత్వం వహించిన భారత్కు అంటగట్టారు. దీనిని అనుసరించి అధిక దిగుబడికి రసాయన ఎరువులు అవసరమని చెప్పి కృత్రిమ ఎరువులు కూడా జోడించారు. 1970లో రైతులు తీసుకోకపోతే రాయితీలు, ప్రోత్సాహకాలు, ప్రకటనలు, ఆదర్శ్యం పేరిట క్రమంగా భారత్ రైతాంగం ఈ రసాయన ఎరువుల మీద ఆధారపడే పరిస్థితికి తీసుకువచ్చారు. కృత్రిమ రసాయన ఎరువులకు ముడి చమురు వాణిజ్యానికి ఉన్న దగ్గరి సంబంధం చాలామందికి తెలియదు. 1970వ దశకంలో మొదలు పెట్టి దాదాపు 25 ఏండ్లు చమురు రాజకీయాలు ప్రపంచ దేశాల మీద తీవ్ర ప్రభావం చూపాయి. చమురుకోసం, రసాయన ఎరువుల కోసం భారతదేశం కూడా వివిధ అంతర్జాతీయ సమీకరణాలలో విలువలకు తిలోదకాలు ఇచ్చి పాల్గొనాల్సి వచ్చింది. ఇప్పటికీ మన దేశ స్వావలంబన కృత్రిమ ఎరువుల మీద ఆధారపడి ఉన్నది. ఆలోచనా రహితంగా విదేశీ యూరియా అమలు ఓ చారిత్రాత్మక తప్పిదంగా పేర్కొనవచ్చు.

నేలసారం పెంచడానికి కృషి చేయాలి.
ఎకరానికి రసాయన ఎరువుల వాడకం ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నందున నేల సారం తగ్గడం. నీటి కాలుష్యం, గ్రీన్ హౌస్ వాయు ఉద్గారాలు పెరుగుతున్న ఆందోళన కూడా నెలకొంది. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలో 2015 నాటికి 2.04 లక్షల టన్నుల ఎరువులు కేటాయించిన కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం పరేంద్ర తరువాత కూడా ఈ కేటాయింపును పెంచలేదు. కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి, తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వానికి దీర్ఘకాలిక ఆలోచన ఉన్నట్లు లేదు. సుస్థిర వ్యవసాయానికి మొట్టమొదట కావాల్సిన మంచి నేల, సారవంతమైన భూమి కోసం కృషి చేయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉన్నది. పచ్చికొట్ట విత్తనాలు విరివిగా సరఫరా చేయాలంటే ఒక సంవత్సరం ముందుగానే ప్రణాళిక చెయ్యాలి. తగిన నిధులు విత్తన కార్పొరేషన్ కు ఇవ్వాలి. మిశ్రమ పంటలు, పంటల మార్పిడీ విధానం రైతులు అవలంభించడానికి తగిన ప్రోత్సాహకాలు, నిధులు ఇవ్వాలి. వేలంలో నత్రజని పించే పంటలకు గిట్టుబాటు ధర. బోవన్ ఇస్తే రైతులు వాటినే వేసుకుంటారు. నెలలు పూర్తిగా బలహీనపడిన ప్రాంతాలలో ప్రత్యేక ప్రణాళిక ద్వారా క్రమంగా రసాయన ఎరువుల వాడకం తగ్గించాలి. వేల పారం సహజంగా పెంచడం వల్ల దిగుబడులు కూడా సుస్థిరంగా ఉంటాయి. ఆహార ఉత్పత్తిలో పోషకాలు పెరిగితే ప్రజల ఆరోగ్యం కూడా బాగుపడుతుంది. ప్రకృతి వనరులు, జీవ వైవిధ్యం పెంపుదల ద్వారా. సహజసిద్ధ సేంద్రియ ఎరువుల ద్వారా తెలంగాణలో నేల సారం పెంచటానికి కనీసం రూ. 5 వేల కోట్లు రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం కేటాయిస్తే ఒక పవేంద్ర కాలంలో వ్యవసాయ దిశ, దశ మార్చవచ్చు .

Technology doesn't teach how to survive in the wild
Modern educated People almost forgot survival skills
Kids from a very young age are having habitat inside 4 walled AC rooms in cities and travel in cars outside.
They are grown up as aliens to the wild earth 🌎

Civilisation doesn't mean we forget to learn ethnic skills.
We need to be sensible enough to recognise our predator and ready with skills for self defence both
As an individual and as a tribe.

Our ancient Gurukalas were usually inside forests and even children from royal families learnt skills from the wild away from their mansions.

Now it's time to review and revive the curriculum and architecture of our education system...let's go back to roots and integrate architecture with the true world using biophilic designs.
