Idli Arisi Murukku
Again the authentic deepawali recipe from my home 💕
Ingredients
Boiled rice 4cup
Pottukadalai 1cup
Urad dal less than ½cup
Til
Ajwain
Red chillies
Butter lemon size
Salt
Oil for frying
Method
> Wash and soak rice for 4 hrs
> Roast the urad dal till it turns golden brown, once cool powder & sieve
> Powder the pottukadalai (chutney dal) & sieve
> Now grind the rice into nice paste. (Dont add too much water)
> Powder/grind the chillies & add to the rice batter and grind
> once done take out
> Add pottukadalai and urad powders along with ajwain, til & salt
> add the butter & make a loose dough.
> grease the mould with oil & add batter, squeese into hot oil
> Store in a air tight container
Tip: inbetween add a spoon of hot oil if the dough becomes dry
