Harvesting a cucumber from the garden today! I built this trellis using old branches and bamboo sticks as resources. A great DIY and cost effective trellis that will last you a season or more.

Fruit flies can really make your Mango eating session a disaster if you accidentally bite into their larvae that's been laid in your mango. So the best thing would be to install Mango fruit fly pheromone traps just before the start of the mango flowering season. When the male fruit flies are taken care of the females have lesser chances of breeding.

A few months ago, I spotted a Tomato plant growing randomly in the field. It most probably grew from the food waste that I was composting. No special care. I’ve been harvesting from it for the last few months and it never fails to make me happy by giving me a bowl full of lovely cherry tomatoes.

I’m going to eat these raw so that I can savour their taste.

Fundamentals of Vermicomposting! In this video I shared with you the different sources of carbon. I've added a lot of carbon in the video just to show you examples of different sources. Ideally you should add 2-3 parts of carbon for every one part of Nitrogen (vegetable and fruit peels).

This earthworm bin can handle around a kilogram or two of wet waste per day. It contains around 4-5 kilograms of worms that I bought recently.

If you're based in Goa you can get earthworms from Tendulkar farms in South Goa or get in touch with me during the monsoons and once you have your setup ready.

The blue barrel will be used as a place to put in your wet waste. You can add a few worms in it as well.

For the last couple of months I've been trying to grow and consume my own food and hence started off with creating a locally sourced breakfast plate.

I've been rearing chickens for many years now and they have been my source for eggs. I also grew a lot of turmeric some months ago and just harvested them a few days ago and grounded the rhizomes into some fine powder. Thank you for guiding me through the process.

Locally sourced pork and then made into bacon by 's mama.

Working on some magic with to create bread from local rice.
