🍅 Eat Irish. Eat seasonal. Eat well. 🍂

There’s plenty to love about Irish food at this time of year!

From the last of the season’s Irish tomatoes to fresh broccoli, carrots, parsnips, potatoes and Brussels sprouts, October brings plenty of inspiration for hearty, home-cooked meals.

And of course, it wouldn’t be October without a slice of traditional Irish barm brack!

At Nolan’s, we’re proud to support Irish growers and food producers wherever possible, bringing the best of what’s in season to our shelves.

🌱 Wondering what’s in season? Bord Bia has a brilliant Best in Season calendar to help you discover which Irish fruit and vegetables are at their best throughout the year.

We’ve shared the link to their October guide in our Stories.

🛒 Pop into Nolan’s this weekend and enjoy the best of the season!

🍪 The biscuit tin just got an upgrade!

Meet West Cork Biscuit Company, a family-run Irish business that’s been making seriously good biscuits since 2003.

What started at Clonakilty Farmers’ Market has grown into a much-loved Irish food business, but the way they make their biscuits hasn’t changed much.

Made in small batches using quality ingredients including real Irish butter and free-range eggs, every biscuit is still individually shaped by hand. No shortcuts, no artificial flavours or preservatives.

Just really good biscuits!

At Nolan’s, we love discovering and supporting Irish food producers who put genuine care into what they make, and we’re delighted to have West Cork Biscuit Company on our shelves.

Next time you’re in, pick up a pack. The kettle’s calling! ☕️

Big flavour, bold sauces and a Dublin success story. 🔥

Chimac started with a love of Korean fried chicken and grew from a Dublin restaurant into a seriously popular Irish sauce brand.

Their range is inspired by Korean flavours, made in Dublin and designed to bring a little more excitement to everything from chicken and burgers to eggs, chips, noodles and BBQs.

From Korean Hot Sauce to Sriracha Caramel and Kimchi Ketchup, there’s plenty to experiment with - and more than one bottle may end up becoming a fridge-door regular.

Find Chimac on the shelves at Nolan’s.

Some products have a great story behind them, and Isle of Crackers is definitely one of them. ❤️

What started out as handmade crackers served alongside homemade hummus at local markets in Wexford quickly became the thing people were coming back for.

And so, Isle of Crackers was born.

Still handmade in Wexford today, they’re a lovely example of the creativity and quality coming from small Irish food producers.

You’ll find Isle of Crackers on the shelves here in Nolan’s; perfect with cheese, dips, or very happily eaten straight from the pack.

Another Irish producer we’re very happy to have on the shelves at Nolan’s 🍎

Gilbert Murphy Apple C***r Vinegar is made by Ballyhoura Apple Farm in Kilfinane, Co. Limerick, using 100% Irish apples and traditional fermentation methods.

Their c***r vinegar goes through a double fermentation process, carefully nurturing what’s known as “the Mother” along the way, all part of creating a natural, full-flavoured apple c***r vinegar with plenty of character.

It’s exactly the kind of Irish product we love stocking at Nolan’s: locally produced, carefully made and with a great story behind it.

Look out for Gilbert Murphy Apple C***r Vinegar next time you’re in store. 🍏
