Saturday Akara and Memories 💛

My mom used to wake up early every Saturday to make akara for us. No matter how tired she was from the week, that smell of frying akara meant "weekend is here".

Today, I am doing the same for my kids.
​
As I was turning the akara, I realized — I am not just frying beans, I am frying memories.

One day, they will remember "Mummy's Saturday akara" just like I remember my mom's.
​

When asked to describe beautiful things in my life, I can't help but to describe these beautiful angels God has given to me, they make life beautiful even in the midst of the ugly things surrounding my life. I choose to remember and thank God for the beautiful ones He placed in my life❤️
