Something magical is happening in York this Bank Holiday Weekend… 🐈‍⬛✨

Tullivers is taking part in The Black Cat Quest with @‌catgalleryyork as part of WizardFest.

From 23rd–25th May, black cats will be hiding in shop windows between York Minster and The Shambles, and your mission is to spot them, collect the letters, and spell the magic word.

You can pick up a FREE trail leaflet/map from us in the shop and join the quest around the city.

And if you complete the trail?

Children aged 5–12 can return their answer sheet to The York Cat Gallery to claim a super-special mini magic cat. 🖤

There’s also a chance to win a Wizard Walk family ticket and a Cat Gallery prize by guessing how many cats are in the jar in the gallery.

It’s completely free, a lovely reason to explore York, and adds a touch of magic to the long weekend.

Join our team! We’re looking for a retail assistant with energy and enthusiasm to join us at Tullivers in York.

This role is for you if you genuinely enjoy helping people, take pride in great customer service, and have a passion for health and wellbeing. And as our customers are at the heart of everything we do, a friendly, thoughtful approach is really important.

You’ll fit right in if you’re self-motivated, keen to learn, and happy to get involved. And in return, we’ll make sure you’re supported with the training and knowledge you need to feel confident in the role.

Previous retail experience would be great, but it’s not essential - what matters most is your enthusiasm for working in a wellness-focused independent shop and being part of a small, supportive team.

Have you seen what we’ve uncovered…?

While we’ve been having a shop front refresh, some original architectural details of the building have been uncovered - a little glimpse into the history of 1–2 Colliergate.

Our shop is a Grade II listed building, meaning it’s recognised for its historical and architectural importance. And moments like this are a lovely reminder that this shop has been part of York’s street scene for a very long time.

The original panelled detailing between the windows was revealed as the refresh took place. These small features are part of what gives our building its character and charm.

We love being in a building with so much history - and continuing to welcome people through the door, just as our building has done for generations as Tullivers, and shops of the past including T.Mitchell and G Lamb & Sons.
