The primary reason for this elongated growth is a lack of Fresh Air Exchange (FAE).
Carbon Dioxide Buildup: Mushrooms "breathe" just like humans, consuming oxygen and releasing If they are in a closed container or a room with poor ventilation,
levels rise.
Stretching for Air: When levels are too high, the mushrooms stretch their stems (stipes) upward or outward in a desperate attempt to find oxygen, often failing to develop their signature caps.
