🐣Here are our adjusted opening hours for Easter - make sure to come and grab all the chocolate eggs and Easter cards you need by Saturday the 4th!

We will then be closed from the 5th - 8th, and will be open as usual from Thursday the 9th.

Yesterday was our 2nd cookbook lunchclub with chef Greg and apprentice Spencer demo-ing recipes from Persiana Easy by . I think we are getting the hang of it now!
Our 12 food-loving guests got to eat 7 dishes from the book in the beautiful development kitchen at Sykes House Farm in Wetherby. It was a relaxed afternoon of eating food, chatting food, food gadgets and sharing restaurant recommendations. With the opportunity to purchase ingredients that we bring along and that are featured in the chosen cookbook. From the 6th January 2026 usual hours will resume:
Tuesdays - Fridays: 9:30-4pm
Saturdays: 9:30-4:30pm
Sundays&Mondays: CLOSED

There’s still a few days to go but I know I’ll be too 🥱 to post on Xmas Eve or NYE so if it’s okay I’ll post my end of year appreciation now.

To everyone who has visited the shop this year, THANK YOU ☺️! And those of you who came looking for cheese (IYKYK) but stayed to see what we had to offer thank you too! & Salt has been open a whole year, it has been a real joy getting to know my regulars and also chatting with those who are just passing through. Wetherby packs a big punch for its size with its many independent businesses 💪🏼 and I have really enjoyed becoming a part of it. I am excited about what 2026 may bring and am hoping to pack even more into 8 Church Street so we can offer you even more foodie deliciousness 😋. Thank you for all the amazing support from my family, friends, the other Wetherby Independents and of course my customers. On Thursday the 18th of December, we will be open until 8pm! ⭐️🌛🪩

Our regular operating hours have been extended to give you a chance to come and have a nice, cosy evening browse. 😁

We will also have some samples, tasters and drinks available! Come and try before you buy!

Say hello to our new arrivals from the fabulous Katto in Sheffield. We have their award-winning* walnut chopping board/bread board with stand to hold the boards when not in use or for a cookbook or tablet when using. Plus a brass and walnut ravioli cutter, bottle opener, kitchen scissors, oyster knife and set of 4 cocktail skewers. Time is flying, December is around the corner. Join us at our inaugural cookbook club event on Wednesday 10th December 11:45-2:30pm at Sykes House Farm’s beautiful development kitchen called Method ( ). Chef Greg will be cooking 3 dishes (a main, a side and a dessert) from French Classics (available to buy at the lunch). There are just 14 seats at the Chef’s Table, so it will be an intimate afternoon of eating, talking and celebrating a fabulous new cookbook. To book your place, click link in my bio or bio.
