As some of you know, we have taken part in Arc’s Big Sleep Out for the past couple of years to fundraise and raise awareness of the support that Arc formerly Taunton Association for the Homeless give to those experiencing homelessness. 🌙

This year marks 50 years 🙌 since a group of concerned members of the local community came together in Taunton to see what they could do to support a growing number of rough sleepers.

We are thrilled to be joining Arc for a day of 50th anniversary celebrations this year as Olive and Rosy as well as supporting them personally. It’s going to be a great day with lots going on. ❤️ We will have a stall at the event during the day with both food and clothing and then sleeping out overnight ✨ 🌒

Come along to the Kings Arms Community Hub tomorrow night from 7pm for the Wellington Women In Business - WWIB free Ripple Effect community event, everyone is welcome!

Try some platter nibbles and olive oil from the deli, read some of the stories from the clothing boutique plus pick up a special discount voucher and raffle entry for a chance to win a free mini platter 🙌

There will be lots of other free treats and special offers from other businesses for you to discover.

Fresh focaccia is back this weekend! It will be available at the shop from Friday afternoon and on our menu at Wellington Independent Market on Saturday - along with gluten-free and original cannoli, pear and ricotta cake, pizza slices and more. I will also have lots of the beautiful summer clothing from upstairs out with us on the High Street. ☀️

We will be leaving the market a little early due to another rescheduled event later in the day, so come and find us in the morning if you can. 🙏 Hope to see you there!

As part of our usual cannoli deal, at the moment you can also get hazelnut chocolate barchette. Italian for ‘little boats’ barchette are traditional shortcrust pastries with a crisp, buttery crust that are filled with a rich chocolate hazelnut cream and topped with crunchy chopped hazelnuts. 🌰 Enjoy them with coffee or tea. ☕️
