Had a fun time on Thurs with 2 lovely ladies who wanted to try their hand at making some vegetarian dishes. On the menu, to serve up to their families that evening was a green lentil curry ,(mung beans), green banana curry and the ever favourite aubergine and potato curry.

A cookery lesson for the kids today in the hope they'll do some cooking during the summer hols. We had a lot of leftover rice from yesterday so what better way to use it up than in a stir fried spiced rice with onions and a green banana curry with curry leaves in a tamarind flavoured sauce. It was delicious! No more leftovers. 👏👏

Hi All,
It's been a little quiet on the cooking front recently. Unfortunately, a couple of classes planned for May didn't happen for various reasons and June has been a busy month for me. However, I have two ladies interested in attending a session in July so looking forward to this. Hope to recommence classes in September​. In the meantime, hoping for some more sunshine and wishing you all a lovely summer.

At today's demo session I prepared three delicious dishes and the ladies tried their hand at rolling and cooking chappatis, very successfully, I have to say, for both their first attempts! On the menu there was a red kidney bean curry in a spicy tomato sauce, stuffed baby aubergines and a rather unusual dish of green pepper in chick pea flour. Unfortunately, no photos as we were so engrossed but I'm told dinner went down a treat with the family.
